I only put a star because it wouldn’t let me post without any stars. Horrible customer service, horrible company, must hate people during the winter shutting off power refusing to connect it after three hours and reconnect fee paid. HORRIBLE SERVICE. Literally moving just so I don’t have to use energy United. Their customer service is nasty cold and just downright hate people Even your response was disgusting, my account had money on it. Your systems had taken over 80 dollars out of my account and still I waited three hours. You should really be fired whoever responds to these and customer service reevaluated. DESPICABLE AND DISGUSTING I STAND BY MY WORDS. I moved over a month ago. If you’re considering energy United just go with your city’s utilities if possible. Much cheaper my bill went from hundreds to 53.00 combined. Energy United hates people and they are overcharging you!!

I would give a zero but it is not possible. We have had terrible outage problems in the last 5 years that make no sense! Homes literally nextdoor have power and or across the street at times. We go several hours even days without power! This in turn skyrockets our power bill to reheat or cool our home! This is crazy! Fix the problem in my area or update the equipment that keeps failing. Now we will have the additional increase on what we pay on our energy bill this year as well! The response is a joke! A letter was never received in the mail. I did however have something hung on my front door about trimming trees in the around the main entrance and this is not where they work on outage issues. In fact, it is further into the development at a dead end far away from this entrance which is one of three entrances! One power outage in 2020 which was the end of October was for 3 days! Three homes including mine without power in a large residential area.

Hi Erin, if power was disconnected due to a storm we should not have charged a reconnect fee. It seems that in this situation, the CCR misinterpreted the fees documentation since this is not a member request but more of a hazard situation. We apologize for the oversight. We will be calling you back to discuss further. Thanks for being a valued member! In response to Rob's reply to your question: we are actually not a corporation. We are a co-op which is a non-profit electric utility that is owned by the consumers it serves. Our goal is to provide at-cost electric service to you, our members.
