Why is there a same day reconnect fee if the power pole was knocked down by a tree (storm caused outage)

Hi Erin, if power was disconnected due to a storm we should not have charged a reconnect fee. It seems that in this situation, the CCR misinterpreted the fees documentation since this is not a member request but more of a hazard situation. We apologize for the oversight. We will be calling you back to discuss further. Thanks for being a valued member! In response to Rob's reply to your question: we are actually not a corporation. We are a co-op which is a non-profit electric utility that is owned by the consumers it serves. Our goal is to provide at-cost electric service to you, our members.

Because corporations will use any excuse to steal from you. Welcome to Earth 2022, I dont recommend staying.
