Topaz Lake Recreation Area

Really nice campground. Mostly RVs, but well suited for tent camping. Nice, flat sites with shade trees, bench and firepit. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The campground seems to mostly attract families who are active by the water the whole day - so the evenings are nice and quiet.

The camping spots are great and have a lot of room. There really really needs to be a pathway for people in wheelchairs to the lake. My mom couldn't get to the lake at all cause it is too sandy for her wheelchair. So it would be great it someone could put in a concrete pathway to the lake.

Oh my goodness.... the number of mosquitoes is ridiculous!!! Restrooms are as clean as you would expect. The staff keep them clean, it's the other campers who mess them up. Each camp sight has a fire pit. Some have electric hookups. Plenty of space for your vehicles, gear, campers, etc. Restrooms also have showers. Nice area, but beware of the mosquitoes!!!!

I didn't spend the night but it appears to be a really nice campground and day use area. Just to the east, outside the park, there is a long stretch of beach for primitive camping/boondocking for RV's.
