Stayed a night at Historian inn for a night on my way to Lassen Volcanic NP,located in the heart of a little town and surrounded by a lot of businesses restaurants litterally by walking distance. Room that I stayed was very cozy and clean,it had a mountain view and facing Hwy 395 and high traffic but noise didn't bother me at all. Gentilmen in the front desk was extremely helpful and polite. Hotel had a light complimentary breakfast. Only reason giving 4 stars is because they have a policy of not smoking anywhere in their property and had to walk out outside to sidewalk to smoke,being a smoke free property is a good thing but they could've made it a little easier for the guests that are smoke.

Positive: nice room with balcony, clean friendly staff. good location for walking to Restaurant. and Casino, and Bar, Safe, for family with kids. free Breakfast, good coffe, free cable internet, pet friendly. good free parking, great price for the location.

Positive: The Managers were very open and friendly. Their courtesy will put us back at the Historian when we are in the area again. Negative: Everything was better than satisfactorily

My family and I stay in hotels across the nation. From the Hilton I. San Fransisco to the Marriott in NYC. This place is one of our very favorites. Cute rooms, extremely comfortable beds. The bakery gives you a breakfast. Super friendly. I highly recommend!
