This place constitutes an actual gem. I go to more theater productions than the average person, but I promise you no one is as consistent (including Charlotte-based productions) as Hickory Community Theatre. The location is great, the orchestra kills it, sound is better than most, plus the actors and singers are incredible. You get the feeling everyone here actually cares about the end result. If itβs a little bit extra drive for you, I promise it will be worth it!!

Went to see Memphis last night. It was excellent. Actors playing Huey and Felicia belong on broadway, yes, they're that good. Lady playing Huey's mom had show stopper number. We were blown away. Great job to all

Show up. Look up the audition schedule and go!
They did something rotten at the end of August. That's it so far for the 2021-2022 season. If you want the 2020-2021 , I am not sure they did much with COVID.
We don't have a specific dress code. We welcome everyone, no matter how they're dressed. Just as long as they are dressed!
Hi Klara. We did our best to get the word out but it's rescheduled for 9/14. Because we're still in phase 2 the event will take place online.
No usually shows are Thursday Friday and Saturday nights with Sunday's matinees as well
We don't offer Tai Chi classes. The Hickory Daily Record runs a weekly column that includes various community offerings. The Tai Chi classes are being offered at the public library. Yes, absolutely. It's on Saturday, Oct 26 at midnight.
Online on the theater website, may need to set up account
You should be able to that. You should call the box office to ask your question. I'd do this to be on the safe side. Most likely they'll honor your ticket purchase on your phone.
It's our Firemens Kitchen, because it was really where Hickory firemen are when the building was Hickory's city hall and fire department.
There is a main auditorium (upstairs), and also a much smaller area (downstairs) where they occasionally set up tables.
