This place constitutes an actual gem. I go to more theater productions than the average person, but I promise you no one is as consistent (including Charlotte-based productions) as Hickory Community Theatre. The location is great, the orchestra kills it, sound is better than most, plus the actors and singers are incredible. You get the feeling everyone here actually cares about the end result. If it’s a little bit extra drive for you, I promise it will be worth it!!

Went to see Memphis last night. It was excellent. Actors playing Huey and Felicia belong on broadway, yes, they're that good. Lady playing Huey's mom had show stopper number. We were blown away. Great job to all

They did something rotten at the end of August. That's it so far for the 2021-2022 season. If you want the 2020-2021 , I am not sure they did much with COVID.

We don't have a specific dress code. We welcome everyone, no matter how they're dressed. Just as long as they are dressed!

We don't offer Tai Chi classes. The Hickory Daily Record runs a weekly column that includes various community offerings. The Tai Chi classes are being offered at the public library. Call me technically challenged. How do I get my tickets on my phone? That would be so much more handy than a paper ticket.

Can I just show the tickets on my phone instead of printing off a copy? We do not have a printer. We had to save up for the tickets, so we can not pay office max or any other facility that has the option to pay to copy.

You should be able to that. You should call the box office to ask your question. I'd do this to be on the safe side. Most likely they'll honor your ticket purchase on your phone.

It's our Firemens Kitchen, because it was really where Hickory firemen are when the building was Hickory's city hall and fire department.

The page for purchasing seats for β€˜The Kitchen Witches’ look like dinner theatre seating (each round table has just 4 seats at it); however; the webpage photos of the theatre all look as if it is basic theatre (side-by) seating. Which is it?

Thor Sen | Sep 24, 2018

There is a main auditorium (upstairs), and also a much smaller area (downstairs) where they occasionally set up tables.
