Beautiful way to spend an afternoon. Bring bug spray and plan on having at least three hours to explore if you are visiting the area. Our two hours didn’t quite cut it with little legs and frequent breaks.

Huge outdoor walking adventure. The animal park is really fun for kids. The history is rich and the staff is so nice. The female zookeeper giving info was really nice and knowledgeable.

You have to call park unfortunately I did not need the senior discount.
Yes! You can rent bikes there or bring your own. Bikes aren't allowed in the Animal Forest but there are racks available to park them while you walk through.
There are no overnight accommodations at Charles Towne Landing. Check out some of our other nearby state parks: Edisto Beach State Park, Givhans Ferry State Park and Colleton State Park!
They don't have tent sites there.
Unsure, haven't been there in quite a few years
Yes. Dogs can walk in the park with the exception of the Animal Forrest.
Yes. Lots of picnic tables thru the park
Contact Charles Town Landing and explain what you are looking for and they had a woman a number of years ago who was making the connections between there and here. Hope this helps.
Not sure but they did rent bikes in the past. You may wish to give them a call
I can't think of why you couldn't.
Yes! Bikes are allowed on the park. We also have them for rent at the park.
There are no scooters but we do have a golf cart shuttle available for visitors.
It is for sure a safe place provided you don't look for trouble by getting too close to the alligators...
Six miles

All of our exhibited animals are rescues/rehabs with the exception of the Wild Turkeys, Bison, and Red Wolves. The Wild Turkeys and Bison were purchased from South Carolina farms. The Red Wolves were obtained through the Red Wolf Species Survival Program from Trevor Zoo in New York State.

I'm pretty sure they actually do have a limited number of bikes for rent. I've seen them in the lobby of the visitors center.
Yes. There is the Animal Forest that fonsists of animals thst would have been present in the area when it was settled.
It is a SC State Park. They charge admission, but you can purchase an annual pass to SC Parks.
There is some information in the visitor's center, but a better site for slave exhibits is on James Island at McLeod Plantation. Charlestowne Landing is focused on early settlers when the area was a British colony.

I think they still do, because I remember last time they charged a ridiculous amount to rent them for the day. DEF bring your own Lol
Maybe, it's worth calling them or emailing them directly.
