I scheduled an appointment online for Sears to come out the same day to run diagnostics on my Whirlpool washing machine. The washing machine only ran hot water. Phil came out and told me the electronic panel was going to cost $330 for just the part, and another $300+ for labor. I couldn't decide if I wanted to pay over $600 for repair or just get a new washer. If I didn't, then I had to pay the $89 diagnostic fee on the spot. I was fine with the $89 fee, but I asked Phil if I had time to decide on the repair, and he told me I had 90 days to make a decision! Here's the thing: If you decide to repair your appliance through Sears, you don't have to pay the $89 diagnostic fee. Well, Phil lied to me. I called Sears later that night to go through with the repair. Because Phil didn't give me a quote on the spot, there was nothing they could do other than send out another technician. That means I would be out the $89 fee I paid the first time! I called Phil and left him a voicemail and said I wanted to proceed with the repair and to go ahead and order the part. I woke up the next morning with a text message from Phil and he told me the same thing Sears' customer service said, that I would have to have another tech come out to the house. Phil told me over text that if he doesn't collect the money on the spot, they don't order the part. All together, Phil lied to me just so he could get out of the door and move on to his next appointment. I understand if you have to go, but don't lie to the customer! if he told me the truth, I probably would have only taken 1-2 more minutes to decide on the repair. No wonder why Sears is going out of business and no one uses them anymore. This kind of shady business practice makes me NEVER want to use them again. After reading Phil's text message, I said forget it, and I sold my washer/dryer on Facebook marketplace at a loss. I ordered a brand new set and I'm not looking back.

Had an appointment for someone to come out and look at our broken fridge but the tech never showed and then rescheduled for 3 weeks out! Just to look at it! And if a part needs to be ordered, how long will we be without a fridge?! It’s get pretty expensive eating out when you can’t store anything. Do we get reimbursed because of this company’s negligence?! And the people in India were absolutely no help and they all apparently have no access to any other contacts within the company. They don’t even have the contact information for the person that is supposed to come to our home. How?!!!
