It's not a referral it's called a " Room Request". Must be faxed in by the Dr., Nurse, or Social Worker of the person staying at the hospital. Also the family has to live at least 40 miles or more from the hospital. You can learn more by going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta website.
Yes they can. As long as you get your doctor to referral you and there's room but she must be a patient. Currently there's two people to a room only
No. The RMH is for families with sick children.
I would call and ask them. They may have a certain way to make check out.
They did the same thing to me as well. They just want to make sure that the people they are accepting are not dangerous. This will probably change later on in the future. As you have probably seen, they also dont have any knives in the kitchen either. All kinds of people are staying in the Ronald McDonald House. Its always good to take precaution. I hope this helps.
