Honestly it doesn’t even deserve a 1 star , as my family has been in need of food stamps for over a month to survive they make you go through so many hoop’s and just to be turned down by your caseworker who evidently doesn’t know what work is & hasn’t been in this situation, Obviously!!

I have been calling for 2 weeks and no one will pick up the phone. This happens to frequently!! Highly aggravated with this place. And when you go up there you have to have an appointment???like if I can't even get y'all on the phone how can I even make an appointment!!!??

I’ve honestly never had a problem with DFCS until I moved here. My son is 9 months old, I couldn’t even get them on the phone to get my pregnancy Medicaid so I paid out of pocket and showed up when I could afford it. I’ve been trying to get him insurance for NINE months. My case manager (Powell) SUCKS, I’ve left COUNTLESS voicemails and no call back, her supervisor doesn’t even have a voicemail set up and the office NEVER picks up. Idk what to do. Any advice is welcome, I had to reschedule his 9 month checkup yesterday for August and I’ve been calling them everyday for weeks.

It was closed. We had to go to the one in Newton county. That one told us that they now have to serve 5 counties including Newton, Walton and Rockdale. I think it's due to staffing problems. The one in Monroe which serves Walton county was open before the pandemic. Even the Newton county office was lightly staffed.

The office is closed until further notice. You will have to call the number that is on the door. They will be more than willing to help you. Just with everything going on they are working from home.
You can call and report it to DFCS, however, Police will do a wellness check and you can report that but you need enough proof. Alternatively, you can file a contempt order with the courts. Check your custody paperwork. A standard custody agreement mentions niether parent can drink or do drugs while the children are in their care.
I ASSUME YOU WOULD CALL THE OFFICE AND SPEAK WITH AN EMPLOYEE
Go to the local office.
