This is a great idea to help people who fall short and hard times but F.I.S.H. has lost their mind with the prices. They have increased the prices on "free" donated good at least 3x maybe 4x what the price should be. They price about $2.00 less from regular stores, so add $2.00 to the cash you have to spend and you can go buy it brand NEW at the retail stores. Looks like F.I.S.H. has gone to far with their inflation price increase. I don't even think some of the items they have are even from the citizens of Walton County. Some of the items look new, (and some are cause the price tags from the original store are still on the item, and then you can see the $2.00 difference I was talking about. You really have to know prices on items or you might pay a little more at F.I.S.H., than if you bought it new at the retail stores. Either way F.I.S.H. NEEDS TO LOWER THEIR PRICES BEFORE THEY SPOIL SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY. I guess someone has to pay for the newly paved area behind the building where you drop items off. I hope they will consider lowering their over inflated prices. The white chair $89.99 and the coffee table $129.99. I don't go to a second hand donated used items store expecting to pay these prices. An antique mall, maybe but not a "Thrift" store as they are so called named. Used donated items at a thrift store should not cost an arm and leg to buy.

Great place to donate, volunteer or pick up something for you.

I found a Liftchair in excellent condition that had not been priced. Dee tested, confirmed that it worked and then he quoted a very reasonable price. My 95-year young Mother will love it! The personnel at the Monroe F.I.S.H. are very courteous and efficient! Laine

It's a large thrift store, if you need furniture they have heaps. Because they have a shortage of staff, they can't help you load up furniture into your vehicle anymore, make sure you have enough help with you to load up. There was a woman there who became irate when told she will have to load up the couch with whoever she has with her into her vehicle. They do have signs in both Monroe and Loganville locations about furniture and loading it. Anyway, they have a nice selection of clothes for men and women. There is a section for maternity as well but may have to really look for it as it's small. There are books, DVDs, toys, cookware, dishes, and some electronics. I picked up 4 mason jars, a vintage looking slip, and a little baby boy outfit.

They do not have a senior discount day they do however help the down and out through the Lord by giving food and sometimes cash assistance for bills. All the workers are volunteers and they are blessed.
