What a fantastic first experience! We took a chance on a new place and loved it! The grounds are beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff provided phenomenal service. We definitely hope to go back soon.

I've just read some of your reviews and I suppose if you have only come for the past 2 yrs. you would never know how much you were missing from years ago. Our family used to stay a week every summer for over 20 years. My daughter is now 30 and still always couldn't wait to come during all of her teenage years. (that alone was worth the price of admission. The room and food (we were on the 2 meals a day plan) were a package. NOTHING was extra. (except there was one night when a van went into North Conway to attend a musical/play for those interested) Every day we loved going to either breakfast or dinner to "connect" with the ppl whom we hadn't seen for a year.(we all booked the same week every year before we left) There was a real sense of family and community that was more than likely not found in most places. The room was vacuumed daily, the bathroom was cleaned daily, and beds were made daily. We did not return in the summers of 2020/21 bc of the pandemic. However, we returned with one family for 2 days in the early fall/of 21, and OMG, it felt like we were lodging in a new place for the first time. Although the surroundings looked the same, the climate was ONLY ALL BUSINESS. Nothing, absolutely nothing was the same. Oh, wait, there was complimentary coffee(either cafe or de-cafe) & assorted teas downstairs in the mill. We knew this was the case when booking the rooms and hence, brought all our own food with us. What a sad disappointment. An egg sandwich? What's that? (sounds like Dunkin's) compared to the wonderful hot breakfasts we were accustomed to. I guess we saw some of this coming prior to COvid, with the daily buffet option. That said, you could still order items off of a menu. I purchased something from the gift shop and requested as in for the past 20+ years to put it on our room bill. They said, sorry, we don't do that anymore. Well, it was a wonderful time spent with the family we went with and we got the opportunity to share what it used to be like and what it is now. Then, community reunion, Now, lodging. I know nothing lasts forever, but I must say our gem of a family vacation spot was truly that every year for over 20 years and I guess if you never had it, then there's nothing to miss. It's still beautiful, but it used to be that once you got there, you never had to leave for anything. From the comments I read, that no longer is the case unless you bring everything with you and cook outside. I am sad, however so grateful that we had many years of fun and a sense of community for our family.

Amazing time. Phone Service there was horrible!!! Too busy making memories and enjoying ourselves to take a lot of photos; But we are had an awesome time!!! Paddle boats, several hiking trails and fishing. Inflatable rock climbing on lake, kayaks, volley ball, corn hole, disc golf, tennis, community grills and fire pits plus we had two fire pits and two grills for our private use too much to list: Everything. Indoor pool, jacuzzi, lockers, changing rooms. Several beaches, but we preferred our private beach lol Less people. We went on lake, went on canoes, kayak, paddle boats, fishing boat, grilled, sat at firpit and made s’mores and roasted hot dogs. Lodging was nice, pull out air mattress sofas, jacuzzi bath in each bathroom. It was perfect getaway for us. There’s so much to do and it's all included. BOOKING A WEEK next year.
