I called trying to get information about gun safety and training on how to use a firearm properly if needed. I don't know much and I don't have any experience, which is why I wanted to go to someone I trust. This guy was rude and aggressive. When I pick up the phone I say "who is speaking?". He refused to identify himself about six times, then finally said who he was. He started barking at me with a tone when I said I needed help. In the middle of it he said "go to Florida or Pennsylvania". All I could think about hearing this guys strangely angry tone was thank God I couldn't show up. Being around angry people with guns is dangerous, everyone knows that. In the end, a bit shaken and reluctant to pursue proper gun ranges, as this was my very first interaction asking a range for help. Multiple people have shared similarly disturbing experiences here, so I'd recommend going with someone who can be trusted with your life. One mistake in a gun instructor can mean your life, please don't risk it.

If you are looking to get your NYC firearm permit look no further. John and his team are simply amazing. Their wealth of knowledge and guidance of the application process is quite superb. Very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. You will not be disappointed. I am very satisfied.😊 Thank you John.

Just finished a class. Really enjoyed it. Very informative. The range is comfortable and clean and the staff is great.

How much
You need a permit. The sign in book asks you for your permit I'd number and caliber as well as name
It's a handgun range. So probably not.
yes
John does offer a service where he helps with the application process and sends it in electronically. You'll have to do some legwork and get your pictures, reference letters, etc to him.
Concealed carry permits from other states, even NY state are not honored to carry concealed in NYC due to stupid red tape. You may have to apply for a NYS pistol license to own in NYC. For just practice, you have to talk to John to be sure. Update 2022: With the new ruling, we'll have to see how NYC handles the CCW permit. If they establish reciprocity with a state like PA, it would be easiest. If it follows the NY state and just removes the "reason" requirement, NYC carriers would still have to apply and may require a class. They're still going to make us jump through a few hoops.
If you have a new York city pistol permit he might have one for you to use but only if you have a permit
This is a great place to learn. However he must help you obtain a incense first
Even with the permit you would need to join their club to let you shoot usually cost about $300 a year and that's all the ranges in the 5 boroughs. You're better off taking him to Nassau county range. Or Archibald in PA, my own personal favorite
