Come after 10pm for the variety freak show - usually someone stealing a rotisserie chicken and getting caught while eating it, or stuffing loaves of bread in their pants. Props to the security service for doing their very best.

One stop shop for all your home needs. It's eerily similar Jewel-Osco for someone coming from the mid-west. Portions/quantities are ideal for a single. They do have great deals sometimes. Love their to-go options especially the desserts

My only issue is This location doesn't have enough carts. There were 3 of us waiting for carts. Other than that.. it's a good place to shop

I like Safeway and most of the SF locations are good. Here the fresh meat and fish looks old. The whole aisle of soaps, body wash, shampoo etc is locked up and when you ask for it they put it behind the cashier so you have to request it when you cash out. There are nowhere near enough trolleys so you have to wait for people to leave them. They have now added long metal poles to the trolleys so that you can only use them in store and can't get them out the door so you have to be able to carry all your groceries to your car. The deli meat is also pre-sliced in the morning. If you are shopping later in the day and don't want meat that looks like it's been left out for many hours you can ask for it to be sliced then. However they make you feel like you are inconveniencing them by doing that. I just want some fresh sliced black forest ham. Most Safeways will note the time of cooking on the rotisserie chicken. This location won't and I assume it's because it's often not fresh. Update: I tried reaching out via your contact section and it just directs me to an automated bot replying. Most of the freezer section looks to have stopped freezing, thawed and then refroze. I'm uploading photos now. This is horrifically unsafe, that food needs throwing out not selling.

Go earlier in the morning when there are a lot less people shopping.
Depends on cell phone, you could be at a red light with a Safeway on the block . So it depends.
I like to buy at Safeway you find everything you need fresh vegetables, takeaway food and many more things. I recommend it 100%

I would call in the morning to see if they do. I'm not familiar with the the Bernal Heights delivery service.
I woud advise you to call the store for their deli hours.
Yes, lots of free parking. There is usually more parking before 10 am on the weekdays.
Different stores carry slightly different products depending on the demographics of the area. For example, the Safeway on 30th and Mission carries a large selection of tortillas. Safeways in other areas might not carry that large of a selection of tortillas.
