Edit.... Since my original bad review, I had a nurse from palliative care call and speak to Shriners. Then I recieved a phone call from management who apologized and explained there was a severe miscommunication over this. Shriners was under the impression from our dr referral that we wanted surgery. That is not the case. They have agreed to do a consult with my daughter and hopefully give her the help she so desperately needs. Original post.....My daughter has a severe curvature to her spine which is causing difficulties with her internal organs. She needs a back brace but Shriners said, "we will not see her due to her complexities. We will refer her to boston childrens." They didn't even try. Just refused to see her. I tried reasoning with them but was shot down. I am extremely disappointed as my daughter will not survive a surgery (which is what Boston childrens would do). I feel like they could have least seen her before deciding they wont help her.

Yes they can. Or to the local Ronald McDonald house which is very close by.
Yes but sometimes if you ask hospital staff you can obtain a taxi voucher or their own transportation to get home
I got a referral to see someone...I'm sure if you email them or call they will direct you what to do next .
Hi Marcia, thank you for thinking of us! Please visit our website for further information regarding how to make a donation: https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/springfield/ways-to-give
Hi Judy! Thank you for thinking of us. We are unable to use this type of item, but we would suggest contacting a local daycare or other organization such as the YWCA, Gray House, Boys and Girls Club, etc. Someone will definitely have a good home for this gift.
Yes, as long as they are unopened.
Hi Olivia, Thank you for thinking of us! We do accept books for our patients, but they must be brand new. At this time, we are limiting non-monetary donations due to our infection control policy, so it is best to call our donor development department to discuss further: 413-735-1285.

Hi Kathleen, where are you located? You do not need a sponsor in order to receive care at the Springfield Shriners Hospital. You can call our new patient access department directly at 413-735-1234 and they will chat with you to make sure your niece is eligible for care.
They are always looking for volunteers. Call the main number and ask.
Dont know who that is.
You would have to refer any of these questions directly to the admissions and billing office
Hello, Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Please visit: https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/springfield/volunteer for information.

Sometimes if you check with your local Shriners group, they will sometimes be able to provide transportation.
Hi Mark, we appreciate your feedback and will forward this information to our corporate marketing team. Thank you!
They'll let you stay in the room with your child and they also have a family room
