Evergreen Lodge, sister to the newly opened Rush Creek Lodge, has offered a secluded getaway For several years now. It even survive the Rimfire that occurred up here about six years ago. The 7.5 mile drive from Highway 120 can be slow and go because of the potholes. It’s well worth it once you get to the lodge. I’ve eaten at the restaurant here several times and I’ve never been disappointed. Especially their dinners they’re well worth the drive. The cabins are Tucktaway amongst tall trees and some sit on top of small hill tops. Really the perfect place to have a small wedding and reception. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. This is a very well-maintained facility. Very popular place in the summertime worth your effort to make reservations well ahead of time.

My husband and I got married here on April 10th, 2022. The Evergreen was absolutely fantastic and catered to our every need. They went above and beyond from a specially created vegan reception menu, to bringing our guests blankets when it started getting cold outside mid-reception. The cabins are clean and adorable. My wedding party stayed at the John Muir House which was FANTASTIC. Could not recommend staying here or having your wedding here more. A really great place to bring your family too. They've got a bit of everything for everyone. I could go on and on about how awesome they were. It was the perfect place for our family and friends to meet and have fun. We'll definitely be back for our anniversary. (:

This place is purely AMAZING!! We checked in with Tiara and she REALLY set the tone for our amazing experience. The property is beautiful and I felt like I was at a luxurious camp! It's a 15 minute drive from the main road and I loved how deep in the woods it was. The cabins are spacious and clean and I especially loved that the windows/balcony was facing the trees. I also loved the cast iron gas fireplace & view of the woods in front of the bed instead of the typical TV. Overall there were no electronics and SO many games & activities on property! Food and drinks at the Tavern are DELICIOUS (foodie-approved) and you can take your drinks outside of the restaurant and walk around the property/ go back to your cabin. You can also add it all to your room tab which is super convenient. The hot tub/pool area was great too, especially being in the hot tub at night and stargazing from there. This place is definitely family-friendly so couples beware. There are lots of young kids! Initially I was looking at Evergreen's sister property, Rush Creek, and through that site I saw the link to this property. I'm so happy I chose this one because I did lunch at Rush just to check it out and it's a lot newer and little more pretentious. Staff weren't nice at all compared to the 5-star resort quality service you get from every single person at Evergreen. Can't wait to come back & stay even longer!

My husband and I spent the last two nights in this beautiful, hidden gem- just minutes from Yosemite National Park. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted to make the trip special. Len Otley was super helpful! He helped arrange a birthday gift for my husband in our cabin before we even got there. All the staff members were incredibly nice- Hannah at the front desk and Ellie and Noelle at the general store were superstars! Even the individual who made us customized s'mores packages was terrific. Our stay was very enjoyable because of the wonderful staff at this location. I highly recommend the Evergreen Lodge! The location is superb. The lodging is very cozy yet modern. And the staff do a great job accommodating to your needs. My husband and I will definitely be returning 😊

How much is a night stay in a vintage cabin and are there any bears

Jason Edwards | Jan 2, 2022
Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite (Owner) | Jan 3, 2022

Hi Jason, This is Teri from the Evergreen. You're more likely to see deer, squirrels, birds and other forest friends during your stay. Some guests get luck and see bears while out exploring, and you do need to be careful to follow speed limits when driving so you don't accidentally hit a bear who may be crossing the road. Vintage Cabin rates range from $270 to $330 per night, depending on when you visit. You will find the best rates and service when booking directly on our website. www.EvergreenLodge.com Our Recreation team is also available onsite to help you plan your adventures. You can either pay to join one of our professionally guided tours, or simply visit the Rec Desk and they'll be more than happy to give you free local insights on the best adventures for you to explore on your own. Happy trails! Teri and the Evergreen team

Can we do BBQ during the stay?

Lu Yi | Feb 2, 2020

Hello Lu Yi, Everyone is correct - cooking is not permitted at the Evergreen, except in the John Muir House and now Kay's Nest which are both custom residences that we rent in addition to our cabins that you see listed on Expedia. We have a Restaurant and Tavern that serve delicious freshly prepared food. If you visit during Summer you also have the option to enjoy our poolside BBQ which runs through the first weekend in September. Happy Trails, Teri

Check in & check out ?

Richard Burnett | Feb 2, 2019
Evergreen Lodge at Yosemite (Owner) | Feb 3, 2019

Hi Richard - this is Teri from the Evergreen. Check in is at 3:30pm, and check out is at 11am. On extremely busy days it can be challenging to have every cabin clean and ready to go by 3:30pm, but there are plenty of fun things to do if you have to wait a bit. We've got a game room, a Recreation Center where you talk to our Recreation team about your plans to explore the area, our historic Tavern is awesome, and you'll have a lovely time visiting with our friendly staff and your fellow guests. Enjoy!
