I recently went in to ask for a therapy intake form, and staff admitted me to the ER, after someone telling me that there were no psychiatrists. Huh? Then staff said that I was never signed in, when I was triaged. Staff kept looking down, too busy to care, not friendly. It was the most confusing interaction I have had with a medical facility…… Cops were called as well, unnecessarily. I guess I was making a ruckus when I asked for help. I didn’t feel supported at all by the VA. Lastly, a greeter asked if I was “collecting evidence” when I was literally just grabbing a Women’s Health pamphlet. What in the world? I just wanted some help.

Called for my son. I'd swear some folks check all "human" qualities at the door! Speaking to someone asking for help and the are redundant and nonchalant. I Pray they never need "help" and get someone like them on the line.

Can't get anyone to answer the phone. Called so many numbers. Are there no more people working anymore? I'll revise this as soon as i get to talk to someone. My dad is a vet and needs some help now, but i can't get anyone on the phone.

I'm just using the VA for free procedures, dental care and physical therapy at this point. Every other service has been absolutely terrible, especially with mental health. Between the lack of communication, not having appointments in a reasonable time frame and the total lack of concern for patients it's just absolutely terrible. They cancel appointments, then don't even try to make a new one, or they forget you have an appointment in the first place! I'm so frustrated with the service I've received over the past year, especially with the lack of accountability. I would NOT recommend.

Yes, they are closing today (12/24), at 11am.
Yes sir, by appointments
If you walk in the main entrance there are assistants to help. But you walk in and you can see the signs that point in the left middle area to primary care.
That you would need to contact your providers about.
Yes sir you can. This is a fully equipped hospital.
The VA Medical Center is for Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. If you are a Veteran, you are most definitely welcome 🇺🇸
The Sacramento VA has a great vascular department. I've been seeing them for 12 years.
Steve Cooper the 1 800 number takes so long so I just go in to my primary and get an appt.
No
Yes they do if you're rating is at 100%, or if that is your qualifying injury.
Dont trust those Doctor's!!!!! They told so many lies they confused themselves, smh. They will kill your loved one in a blink of the eye and sleep good every night! As soon as I transferred my dad he woke up from being in a "vegetative state" and is doing fabulous! PLEASE DON'T TRUST THEM!!!
The building with the fancy new entrance and the coffee shop at the front
Mather has an ER, not McClellan.
There is no fee to file for retirement, it's done through the branch of service that the individual served
Yes walk in and go to left or ask information desk where to go as you walk in.
They will tell you usually. If they knock you out then you usually do.
Yes
Denise, the ER will be open but most other services are closed as it is a federal holiday. Primary care, pharmacy, and most other outpatient services are not open
Yes check with your primary care doc and if they say you need one then you will get one.
I just got a mailer the other day so they have already started you can call your primary care doctor or the advice nurse and set up an appointment or you can do the walk-in thing
It's in the main building walk-in the main entrance and it will be off to your left there will be plenty of signs or just go to the information desk
Cardiology clinic

Approximately 50 miles to Mather VAMC.
You need to go to the benefits counter at the Mather hospital.
Some tests are referred out to the blood bank next to hospital
Your primary care phycisian will contact you if anything is out of range. My PCF responded with lab results in under 36 hours.
From 8am till 5pm Monday thru Friday
It is no longer an active AFB.
See eligibility window and have another ID card . VA will take photo and give you a card the same day.
Hello There are hotels 5 minutes from VAMC. Ask attending staff if they will make arrangements and pay for service.
I think once in the system, always in the system. We moved from Nevada to California & my Husband just had to transfer care
Contact VA reimbursement center for that information
You need to call the main # and ask for medical records
I believe at 7:30 a.m.
Yes, income based. You have to register at the VA to be in the system. Takes a little work, but well worth it. My Husband has been going to the VA since 1994 & the care is invaluable. Better than regular insurance for him
Are you an American veteran? If not, no.
You go to your primary care location and request the receptionist assign you a new primary. OR, you can call the Patient Advocate at the facility you attend and request a new primary (easiest option.)
I think as early as 7:00
They do!
McClellan
Call main number & ask for customer rep.
Call the main number
Go to the emergency room
You can talk to the clinic chief about your concerns. Get a new doctor. Contact the hospital director. And get help from your congressional representative.
It depends on your particular issue…. Pain, swelling, case of the itchies - these will move you ahead of 'routine PAP'
