Excellent museum about the human history in the Adirondacks. Cafe has great views of blue mtn lake. Easy free parking and nice gift shop. We particularly liked the boats and trains. Only had time for half the buildings. Returning for the rest tomorrow. Plan on 4 or 5 hours.

Yes...Anne LaBastille's cabin is on exhibit in our Life in the Adirondacks exhibition and it includes all of her belongs just as they were when she lived there.
Great question... I will be watching this feed. It would be super cool if it was Roosevelt's.
Sunday, October 13th is our last free admission day for ADK Park residents. October 14th is our last day of the 2019 season.
Hello Barbara, We offer free admission to full-time residents on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. We will also be offering free admission to park residents on Sunday, September 29th for our Fallfest!

We saw it last year. A very cool piece of history. I believe it will be on permanent display.
Yes there is. If you are looking for further discounts a lot of the local libraries have free passes especially for museums. Sometimes the libraries do have online list of free passes that they offer. But I always find it better to go straight to the library and ask. I hope this was helpful to you enjoy your Ventures.
I do not know, but you can contact them directly. Sorry
Yes
You should be able to kayak on Blue Mountain Lake which is very close to the museum.
Only for outdoor space which is limited.
$20 adults (18-64); $12 youth (6-17); free (5-under). These vary by season.
Yes, according to their website that's their last weekend that they are open for the season. Looks like they're in General open from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend. Enjoy
It is most likely because a large area of the museum is outdoors, so they probably close due to the cold.
The area is pretty much isolated unless you would like to take it to her on a pontoon boat or take a tour of the area on a pontoon plane as a lot of the lakes offer plane rides in area tour services
