Good question
Yes, you can deliver directly to the facility.
I'm not an employee but if u go there and ask about that in person I'm sure they will help you when they are open
During the hours of operation most week days i believe they are open now
I'm not sure if you call them you could ask i went there for some clothes for myself and my three year old son.
Hi, We do not have drivers, but can sometimes arrange for local pick ups. Unfortunately, we could not accommodate cleaning out of a storage unit at this time. However, I appreciate your thinking of us! Greta
Yes you volunteer to help other vets, but the facility help you find wrk thru their computer access and counselors that are their to help you and assist you with the basics.
LICH does not have a list of landlords that accept Section 8. LICH currently maintains a small list of landlords that we use for those that have been homeless (living in emergency shelter or the street) longest in the region. We are currently working with households that are homeless greater than one year continuously. You could conduct a web-based search for rental units that accept Section 8. There are also groups on social media such as Facebook that have pages that post rental units that are available in Nassau and/or Suffolk.
Yes, thank you. LICH has a Boutique, where we collect and redistribute essential items such as clothing, hygiene items, baby supplies. etc. We would be able to use adult diapers for the populations we serve. The Boutique is open from 10am-3pm on Mondays and Thursday to drop off items. You will receive a donation receipt, which can be used for tax deductions.
You can access shelter through your local department of social services or local VA.
