It was good. And for that price it needed to be. The lobster mac and cheese was pretty standard. I didn’t even take a picture of the creamed spinach because it was more cream than anything. The Calamari tasted a little bit like Chinese food, but it was good. By far the South African lobster tail ($54 each) was the best. Probably the best lobster I’ve ever had; at least in Memphis. The service was a little slow and our waitress was a little flighty.

I’d been fortunate enough to have a few work dinners at this location, so when it came time for Valentine’s Day, we decided to switch from our usual dinner at Fleming’s and try out Capital Grille. Overall, we had a nice evening. Our service was a little slow at first but quickly picked up, and we were satisfied overall. We had some nice cocktails, and the bread options kept us satisfied until our entrees came out. My fiancé said his steak was okay, but he definitely prefers one from Fleming’s. I asked for my filet to be cooked medium well, and I honestly think it wasn’t even cooked to medium. The entire inside was lukewarm and very reddish-pink. I was only able to eat about 1/4th of it because I can’t stomach rare meat. Thankfully the creme brûlée was delicious as usual. We may give the Capital Grille another shot, but I think for the money, it’s better to go to Fleming’s or Folks Foley.
