No one wants to be at DMV. But, since moving here I have had greatly improved DMV experiences. There is sometimes a line to get checked in. Only 1 person seems to ever be at the door even though there are 2 stations. After a half a dozen trips here average wait time is about 15 minutes. Sometimes called before sitting and sometimes sitting for half an hour, most trips 15 minutes. Check your license really well as mine had a birthday typo.

Best trip I've ever had there.i was in and out in 20 minutes, although they didn't send my registration and sticker last year and I got a ticket because of them.its Putin's fault.chalk it up to the pandemic.everyone was cheerful and helpful..

Its all online my mother inlaw set mine up but u can go in as a walkin thats what I ended up having to do. But u will go and tell the woman at the door ur a walkin and they will get ur number and u go sit in ur car and they txt u when they r ready to u to come in. If it is in your name OR his you may sign it over to just yourself without him. If it is in your name AND his he has to sign the title. In a pinch you could sign his name to it but if he can prove he didnt sign it you would have charges against you for forgery and possibly theft
No. You can get a 30 day tag but not temporary

Proofs of address has to be something like a bill or official mail, it cannot be junk mail. It's up to the DMV personell to accept your documents, so if you get someone that is "By The Book" you want to make sure you have everything and it's right. Also the DMV requires an appointment, you can do that on their website.
Appointments are needed for all services needed at the DMV now.

No, you can go without an appointment, but you may be waiting longer because those people with appointments have priority. I would get there as soon as it opens and have a mask.
On the DMV site. If an appointment isn't available arrive as soon as the DMV opens. The door on the right is for those without an appointment and they'll do their best to work you in, but arrive early.
What rain?
I went today to renew my handicap placard ( blue color) but I didn't have an appointment. However, they have someone that comes out and checks to see what people need. When I told her what I wanted, she said that I could do it, but the waot would be about an hour, or I could make an appt. It was cold, so I'm making an appt. HOWEVER, I didn't ask her if I need a slip from my Dr. Oop! Guess I'll just have to call tomorrow ( but I've already made my appt.). Hope this helps.
My car was wrecked in November and was towed to TADS towing all the way in dacusville I am just now finding a way there when I got there and called they told me they would call back and he never did what do I do about turning my tag in I am being charged 400$ reinstatement fee and I did inform my insurance company that the car wasn't drivable

If its not bad rain, technically you're supposed to know how to drive in the rain also so they should. But if its a bad storm they won't. Hope that helps.

Need to take the permit test first. For the road test you need a car with working lights, horn seatbelts etc. Proof of insurance and your id.
The one on saluda dam is open 2 Saturdays a month
Think since its a 45 day and you have to take proof of insurance they will put it in insured name

If you are over 18 your id card is free. You need a birth certificate a social security card and proof of address. If u live with someone else they can sign that they are your proof of address if they have a legal id with the right address on it. If you have 2 proofs of id you can get the new "real id" required to enter federal government buildings and fly. If you are under 18 an id costs 5 bucks and you need a birth certificate, ss card and proof of address. All this same information is available at www.scdmvonline.com if this was confusing.
