All duke energy does is rip you off. It’s the worst electric company out there. Not only is your bill outrageously high so bad that you can’t even afford it. They also rip you off on there installment plans. You end up paying it off in 8 months not no 6 months. Somebody needs to come in and shut these people down. My electric is getting shut off because I have to choose between paying my rent and food on my table or having power to run my household. So congratulations Duke Energy on ruining family lives!!! Really appreciate it.

We had a power surge , inside lights went out and so did the air conditioning unit. Duke came out , took them almost 2 weeks and was told it was not the power surge problem. As we have the power surge coverage.. air conditioning is only 6 years old , also our under counter lights had to be replaced…. Not sure if I will continue paying for the coverage when they would not cover…

Honestly the best power company. If there’s an outage due to a terrible storm, they usually have it restored within minutes and no longer than an hour. I’ll give them 10 stars if I could !

So true. Not one response from the company here. If you look on the company twitter page almost all of the responses are automated. Very poor customer service.
Our power will be restored as soon as all duke employees, their family members and the rich folks get their power on first!
Same situation as mine, one line down, quick fix, everyone else has power except 6 houses. Duke is just greedy bastards. Bet all them have power
