Great place to start learning. It is high elevation than some others, so always keep chains or snow socks for your tires even if you're AWD or 4x4. This year I even went up here with my regular front wheel drive car with no problem, not much snow this year and weather is warming up earlier than usual.

Great ski slope for kids and beginners. If you are first time skier or still learning, this is the spot. The best thing, they give a guaranteed ski lesson that you can use until you are comfortable doing the green run. Instructor Andrew was really good. Thanks to him, I started a fresher and now can confidently ski green runs in just 2 days. DEfinitely coming back again for learn more.

Great place to ski, without long lines, lots of snow, snow was icy and hard in some slopes

The place is great for family skiing, kids and beginners. There are 3 lifts and a variety of runs including green, blue and black. The best part is that it’s not crowded, no lines at the lifts. My daughter had fun in the ski school and we enjoyed a great two days of skiing. P.S. If you want to enroll kids at ski school make sure you arrive early.

Yes, the roads are clear. Yes, there is snow. Going from merced, you can take highway 49 all the way in. Or take 49( mariposa) to 41(oakhurst). The 49 to 41 will take you through the iconic Yosemite Tunnel which everyone goes to take their pics with Halfdome and the waterfalls in the background. Yesterday there was a guy there with his daughter selling snow chains and also charging a $50 installation fee. He did a great job on ours. He dies take credit card and cash. Cash is cheaper. Chains aren't required for the lower elevations though and there's snow in the valley. Chains are currently required for higher elevations. So if you want to go skiing at Badger Pass your car must either have chains or be a 4x4 with snow tires.
Excellent, think they will last until 3/24?
Hi Alex, we always recommend calling 209/372-0200 (press 1 then 1) prior to departure for the most up-to-date conditions on the roads in Yosemite National Park. Please note that during winter months it is required to carry chains in your vehicle. Thanks!
Yosemite National Park is home to some of the most beautiful cross-country skiing trails in the world! From YSSA, you’ll find 90 miles of marked trails and 25 miles of groomed track—including the track from Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area to Glacier Point (a 21-mile round trip).
Right now its been in the early 80's nice and cool

Claro que no. Its doesn't snow or get cold enough until mid to late December. Over the past ten years maybe 2, there was light snow in early December. So, no. This season 2018/2019 there was light snow early but not enough to be excited about. But there us plenty snow now.
I sure it will. Its gonna be a long season this year thanks to all the snowfall
Yes, you can do it!
Yes it is open... however its first come first serve basis!! Hope you have fun!!
The turn-off to Glacier Rd is closed but you can still proceed to Badger Pass Ski Area.
I believe it is free lift tickets for military and their families. That is the only discount, to my knowledge.
The slope and incline on some runs is so minimal that it's quite easy to learn without lessons however, yes, Badger Pass does offer pricey lessons! Enjoy!
Yes. Enter the park on 41, then several miles in, turn right onto Glacier Point Road and it will take you right there. Be aware that tire chains are recommended for Glacier Point Road. It was icy last week yet was still covered with sand/gravel mix despite the government shutdown.
Tubing is not open yet, we do not have enough snow for it and no snow is in the forecast for the next 10 days
No tubes allowed...but like harry said... it all depends upon weather!!
Following are the lift chair prices that includes skiing! 7-12 years of age $29.50 13-17 years of age $42.00 However you can get seasonal passes or students discounted rates which usually are about 50% less! Hope that helped!
It was running yesterday. And badger pass was open yesterday. It's perfect time to go!!! Bring chains since the rangers are requiring them to go to badger pass. Have fun!
Kids under 6 are free with a paying adult, 7-12 year olds are $32, 13-17 year olds are $47. We rent skis, snowboards and helmets. See you this winter!
No you can't.
Yes, there is snow now.
Not a lot
Definitely, there will be snow during Christmas.
