We arrived late in the day after many miles of travel. Road weary ...the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Helped with our bags. Very clean, easy parking. I'll definitely stay here again.

Our compensation? $80 for having to clean our own room and spray with bug spray ourselves. If it weren't for the front desk staff, we would have left. They were very kind. The building is a bit dated, and the pool is very small, but that's ok. Our room had bugs (miniscule sugar ants) in bathroom and on the desk and by the fridge and coffee maker. We also had one dirty hand towel and the cap to the lotion was dirty. Initially, I cleaned with clorox wipes and alcohol spray that I brought from home. I always clean and disinfect my room before using and bring my own linens. There was hair on the mattress cover and bathroom floor, mold on the luggage bench, and most of the counter spaces were sticky, as well as the remote and phone. I cleaned everything. After I cleaned and changed the bedding, it was better. We were given bug spray, which worked for a day, then the bugs returned and this time they were on the headboard, wall behind bed , box spring by the headboard, and side tables. We woke up in the middle of the night and found some on our phones and felt like they were on our hands/heads. We sprayed again with the alcohol. Cleaned the bed and finally went back to sleep. Got more bug spray the next day and sprayed again. We DID NOT have any open food of any kind out in the open. All snacks/food was kept in ziplock baggies in the hotel fridge. Location is not very convenient. It's kind of. Everything is within 20-30 minutes driving. But you can only make a right turn out onto the main road and have to drive .25 miles before making a u-turn if you need to go the other direction. There are restaurants near and fast food close by. But the hotel is off the main road and shares a parking lot with another hotel that looks abandoned.
