She is the most helpful, angelic, and caring person you will ever meet! I admire her humble and graceful attitude and her knowledge! Front desk Elizabeth and Gabby are so wonderful as well! This is the best doctor the more sincere the most knowledgeable let me just give an example I was and I'm still am a diabetic but I was to the point where almost I was dying this doctor have turned my diabetic insulin and everything to the point that he's been so good from 375 to 4:50 that I used to have my sugars if come down to 100 and 285 it's been a miracle my daughters I have two of them the medication that they've had before or change and I see the improvement physically improvement he really cares for his patients he gives himself this is not only a doctor that's interested in money he's really old school he cares for his patients the staff they try the best to do their best honestly this is the best doctor he's saving lives he really cares I highly recommend you to please go see him this is for real outstanding we love him and we're so grateful to God that he's a doctor.

My mom and I had our monthly appointment with Dr Nieves yesterday. Even though there is an APRN, (EddaTortolero) there she is more of a hindrance to the busy doctor than a help. I have seen her once and her bed side manner is terrible. My mother and I are complicated cases and she didn't know our histories and immediately tried to override every decision the DOCTOR had helped us come to in the last 5 years. I give this place 5 stars due only to Dr Nieves, the medical assistants Zulma & Elizabeth and the records/receptionist Gabby NOT due to her. I've had quacks like her back up in Massachusetts one after another until I came to the last doctor I had before moving here 5 years ago and I stayed with him just like I stay with Dr Nieves. He treats my whole family. He helped show me how to help my mother take care of a wound she can't take care of herself. He is so respectful of my disabilities and the things I am still able to do. When you're disabled many people (including medical professionals) can make you feel "less than"; but he tries his best to work WITH you not set out steps HE wants but steps he AND patient work TOGETHER in coming up with to make strides to making the best quality of life one can have when they have a chronic debilitating illness and psychiatric disorders. Of course nothing is without "give & take". Yes anticipate waiting a while past your appointment time but for your wait your rewarded with individual one on one NEVER RUSHED from him. I mean if you want to take your chances with that APRN ... Be my guest. I wouldn't see her for a cold. Anticipate the Doc getting pulled in a few different directions sometimes. You can't blame him when he sees everyone from infants to geriatric. Very few places you see one doctor that will treat (direct quote from him) "diapers to diapers". Some things go wrong electronically that are out of his hands. So if you want quality care from a doctor, that cares about every single one of his patients come and give Dr Nelson Nieves and honest try. Yea you may pay with your time but he's sure to give you back his time, attention and true human compassion. If he left the area I would definitely go to wherever he would practice medicine next because I've never had someone this intelligent, caring of me but my family and our inner workings of the family unit on top of it. I can not say enough good things about him. I also love Zulma the medical assistant. She does her job well and is so easy to talk to. Really good bedside manner. For some people there may be a bit of a language barrier (she has a thick Spanish accent) but she is bilingual English/Spanish which is good to have in the area the practice is located. She cares about the patients as well. It's nice as a female patient to also have a female in the whole flow you can explain "feminine issues" too in case you're embarrassed or too shy to tell the doctor. I trust him with my life so I tell him everything without issue ***Note to management*** The doctor and the staff (besides Edda) are super... BUT they aren't superheroes and even superheroes need help. You would get many more reviews like mine if you would hire a couple more office staff/medical assistants. It would make the flow of the office alot more efficient. Also screen applicants for another APRN/Physicians Assistant and get rid of this one. Patients should NOT be afraid or end up in a panic attack at the thought of possibly having to see her. There was a good one there for awhile. I was sad to see her go because of a personal situation during the pandemic. THAT person, was a *perfect* example of what to look for in support staff to bring on board. -knowledgeable -caring -double checks before jumping to conclusions -team player -sees a person and not just what's written in medical records

My wife and I have known Dr. Nieves since his Hunters Creek location. Dr Nieves has always been very detailed oriented and really care deeply for his patients. He is very knowledgeable and an consummate professional. My whole family loves Dr Nieves he loves all his patients and It shows. Dr Nieves was always there for us. We experienced some catastrophic life events and Dr Nieves went out of his way to assist us in anyway he could. Dr Nieves would take his time just to listen. It is not often that you find a physician that legitimately cares about you. Dr Nieves treats the whole patient. The medical world could learn a lot from Dr Nieves. He has a hands on approach at practicing medicine. We Love him!! They have new staff !!!! Dr Edda is here to help!!! Zulma is doing her thing as usual. I Love her!!! Front desk and check out has new faces. My wife and I was in and out and hour and half!!!! Best Doctor’s office on the planet!!!! The most genuinely gracious group lead by the best Physician!!!!
