Hi 👋 just want to say that my new furry baby family member Bailey (Formally buddy ) is the sweetest, most gentle, loving precious gift to our household❤❤ and I just have to thank the wonderful staff & their caring ways in all they do there ! Thank You SO Much ❤

I went today with my dad and employee Chris (female) was so rude and condescending telling me we can’t be upset about the dog we wanted getting adopted because “there is a war going on in Ukraine”. You never know what someone has going on in their personal life. My dad had recently lost a pet and was looking forward to getting a new one and we understand it is first come first serve, however that was the second time in the past week that we went for a pet right when they opened and they were just taken so he was frustrated in general. She also got close to me while she was yelling at me to the point that my boyfriend had to ask her to back up. Not professional at all.

I fell in love here and I couldnt believe how quick the process was! It was great to see how much the staff truly cares for the animals here. I am so grateful for them and all that they do!

This is a small shelter. In order to see any pet you must fill out a form. I told them I was only "looking" and not planning on adopting until my family was with me. I had never been to the shelter before but since I was driving by I thought it would be nice to give some pets a bit of attention. I was told I couldn't look at them without filling a form. Then you are followed and watched at all times. Kind of creepy. All I wanted to do was give some love to some animals. I've never ever had this kind of experience at any shelter before and I've donated my time to many shelters.

It depends on what the aggression issues are. They are a no kill shelter which means they will never put to sleep an "adoptable dog" but if is dog is deemed unadoptable he will be put to sleep. Many people think a no kill shelter means they will never put an animal to sleep but that is not the case it means they won't put an adoptable animal to sleep.
We are grateful for all donations. You can make a donation on our website: https://www.secondchanceanimals.org/donate/ or you can drop off or mail a donation to Second Chance, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA 01515
No an appt needs to be made. However, there are a lot of groomers that will come to you for that. Bubble bus I think or something like that
most likely not, im pretty sure in MA there are laws & regulations when you surrender your pet you are agreeing that you can not longer provide the care the animal requires. But I would talk to someone at the shelter directly and see what they are willing to do for you.
They have in the past, but when I was there last, a week ago they didn't.
Unfortunately no birds. 13 is fine. There are dogs and cats. And on occasion, kittens and puppies, rabbits etc. Know you'll like it no matter what. Good luck.
Good question...They spay cats/dogs for reasonably low fee. Call them and ask.
Call first. Ask.
Prices vary depending on age. The website has pricing available under the adoption tab
There are no jack Russell's at the moment but keep an eye on the adoption website as it gets updated frequently
Donna. Their van comes to Webster at the Pet Store next to Kmart the second Monday of the month. No appointment is necessary. First come, first serve. 12 noon to 2. Approach van, ask for the clip board, fill in paperwork. If you go to their Clinic in the Brookfield area, it is by appointment.
Yes they do but it is done in North Brookfield at that location
Contact the shelter directly, they will have more answers for you
The one in East Brookfield has dogs you can view and take out to the play area.
They take surrendered pets
You would need to contact them directly
Very nice people. They understand what a shelter should be. Compassion for a Minas and not ,not just profits
Puppies cost a lot of money. Vet bills, food, all the things needed to start out with. If you are low on cash a puppy isn't the best idea.
Call the shelter. I don't have that info sorry
That would depend on what you mean by "rescue" if you mean adopt from the shelter it varies based on age with kittens costing the most. If you mean rescuing an animal in trouble somewhere I would call your local police station or animal control
You'll have to call to see not sure I only know brownie has a new home
You will want to take him to the wellness facility in North Brookfield MA, that is where all the clinic stuff occurs
Send an email to the shelter or give them a call. They will get back to you when they have the chance to
There are currently a few kittens please keep an eye on the website as there will always be more to come
No the North Brookfield location, Worcester, or Springfield locations do the spay/neuter
They don't I work there and they don't we take great care of them
