QFC initially did a great job of routing people through the store. Now it seems more disorganized and people have much greater chance of having close contact with other customers coming down the aisle in the opposite direction. The self checkout area has customers way too close together, especially when a QFC clerk needs to intervene. He was within a foot of me and let his frustration get the better of him. (I was being billed $150 for two avocados! He had to do multiple resets and in all cases was practically in my face. I talked to a store supervisor and she admitted that they were actively encouraging customers to use self checkout, which is why fewer clerks are at the checkout lanes. This puts more customers at risk of close contact due to the cramped layout of this area (and the actions of the clerk overseeing the transactions). I like shopping at QFC but don’t feel as safe shopping there now.

I shop here periodically, but not that often. Overall, the store is clean, selection is decent, and most staff members are quite polite. The exception is the fish counter. The problem there appears to come from the manager named Samantha, I think it was. I found her words and conduct to me to be offensive and unwarranted. Strange to have a store employee talk to a customer like that.

Went in for a quick glass bottle return and was helped by the kindest gentleman in the self check lane. Then, some beautiful plants caught my eye...but none had price tags! The sweet lady that was in charge of the floral/plant section was exceptionally kind and helpful with a price check and ringing up my items. So thankful to both of these kind employees who were both genuine and friendly!

I am sharing more often on google reviews due to the pandemic. This supermarket is the closest to my home and I have to thank every single employee with whom I have interacted. The store is stocked and clean, the workers are protected and they wipe down your carts at the entrance. They even have a pharmacy so it truly is one stop shopping. The prices are slightly higher than some larger chains, but I am willing to pay a little more to get this quality and service, quick and safely to get groceries and essentials. THANK YOU!

You are asking Google guides to give you information regarding the Kroger company, and that is not our job. Nor is it any of our business. Nor should you be asking us to do it. If you are not happy, call back to the store, and ask to speak to the store director. He or she will be able to tell you why they are not doing it, or direct you to somebody who can. Unbeknownst to you it seems, there is a Fred Meyer at the base of Burnside at 21st Avenue, in downtown Portland. All you have to do is drive down the hill from your apartment. That should be simple enough, and if not, there are buses that will take you directly there. Bus number 20 is one of those. As far as Kroger, they own / 28 Major Brands, and just because they are in the same city, does not mean that one of their brands, will do everything that the other does. They each have their own different genres, and therefore you need to accept that fact. Good luck!
