It is a very pretty Park even if it's very close to the Interstate. Nice paved paths and probably very accessible for the majority of the population. I visited the end of September in 2020.

Needs lotta help on showers & restrooms- 1980s calling. 30 amp service reliable, water at each site. Stay upside on hill, more room & looking into open field & playground which is alright. Nothing to do except stay inside rigs when so hot outside. Mostly 3 day weekend campers .

Open outdoors Noone crowded up together by play areas. Sidewalks reach to each pavilion.Rangers seem very friendly and knowledgeable of area and wildlife they seem to always be close by and very aware of everyone in the park or on bike tracks which made me myself feel very safe , their great lil floating dock where myself or children can conveniently fish from while remaining enclosed from open water sitting safely on bench, they have seasonal boat and paddle boat rentals as well as tackle and paddle boards and boats both .. bathrooms always clean and supplied as well as warm and we'll lit.

For those considering an overnight stay on your way to your destination, or to take advantage of Cove State Park's beautiful Campground, get ready to experience some of Tennessee's best when it comes to nature and camping. I've been coming to Cove State Park campground since the mid 70s. Yes, 40 years ago, Cove State Park was part of my earliest childhood memories. And here I am, March, 2022, 40 years later, and this beautiful park brings back all the warm and fuzzy, sentimental feels when life seemed a lot happier and times were a bit easier. This campground has everything you need to enjoy a memorable camping trip. From the sheer beauty of the lake itself, to all the park's amenities. Enjoy the picturesque 606 acres of nature, to walking/bike trails, to wildlife, to fishing, to ore powered boats, and last but not least, the best (level) campsites equipped with grills, fire-pits for the best nighttime camp fires, to picnic tables, and just beautiful scenery. It even has swings and playgrounds for the little ones, and bathrooms equipped with hot showers. You can't go wrong here. It's just the perfect place to create memories and enjoy your camping experience. I can't say enough about this place. I'm so glad it's still here.

Yes you can but as for myself I wouldn't because it is way to hot for our furry family members right now.
