Hello. Just wanted to say what a wonderful experience I've had last 2 yrs. I've been in 5 times last 2 yrs. Everyone is so caring, helpful and knowledgeable. ER can be a bit much. Some staffers, I guess are overwhelmed. A bit testy this visit but it was busy and Nowhere near enough help !!! 8 1/2 hours in ER , about normal.Anyway, my experience in the hospital was very well executed by staff. Ty very much for taking such wonderful care of me yet once again ! Pamela Hodgkins.

Don't go here if you want to feel cared for in your emergency. My daughter has been here twice within a month for the same medical emergency that should have been resolved the 1st ER visit. Last incident she was taken via ambulance. The professionalism of the ER staff was terrible. The waiting room was packed with patients and no one came to check on them. The other patients were more helpful than the actual staff. The other patients helped me and my daughter by assisting with getting her in a wheelchair, blankets, ice packs, and alerted the staff that we needed assistance. One of the ER staff members even stated to me " I don't know why they brought her here." My daughter was in excruciating pain. She finally made it to a room. It sad when you here the medical team make comments like "I dont know why they didnt treat her the first visit" which was 4 weeks ago. The OR staff had two amazing team members who provided the professionalism you expect to have at a hospital. A huge thank you to Russell Contreras and the staff he was working with in the OR. Russell was nothing short of amazing. I wish they could clone his professionalism with the others. Upper Chesapeake please do the county a favor by retraining your staff...especially the ER staff on how to treat patients. Chick fil A has better customer service than this place. Do better becasue people deserve it!

A friend of the family recommended that I get in touch with UMUC, KCC Hematology Oncology Unit. I made an appointment with Dr. Ashkan Bahrani. I was contacted by his secretary after providing her with all of my detailed information the wheels started turning. When I met with Dr. Bahrani the first time he reviewed all of details and presented me with a plan of action for my concurrents. In addition I was introduced to nurse navigator (Jill) who has been remarkably. Anyone who knows that when dealing with cancer, time is of the essence. I’ll tell you now there has been not one second wasted. My questions have been answered and never rushed. I truly feel as though I’m there only patient. The Doctors, Nurses and Staff have been nothing but caring, professional and efficient. Resulting from my personal experience I will recommend UMUC to anyone in need. UMUC is truly where Heroes work

Husband was there for 18 days of great care. I was there for partial hip repair & thot everyone was terrific. Also good experiences in 3 ER visits. I'm a retired RN (Balto. Co. 1999) of which no one was aware...think I'm a valid judge of good care and professional behavior.
I'm not sure. Contact the hospital for more information on that.
In order to keep patients as safe as possible from infection, UM UCH requires, MMR, Influenza, COVID-19 and other common vaccinations for all team members, volunteers and providers. Vaccination against common infectious diseases that could present a risk to vulnerable patients is a condition of employment within our system and individuals who choose not to be vaccinated will be subject to a clearly defined administrative procedure that includes written warnings and the use of unpaid administrative leave.
I don't know. Sorry

Good morning, thank you so much for thinking of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. The hospital is able to accept the baby clothes, but unfortunately not the diapers. We would suggest Megan's Place or Birth Right for the diapers. Thank you!
Yes, if they have to.
I am sorry. We do not offer outpatient dialysis.
Yes they do.
I don't think they would accept medical supply items personally from people, especially with the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, you could try researching on their website, https://www.umms.org/uch, for more information and regulations regarding donations.
There are signs on both entrances to the hospital ER
Call the hospital and ask for medical records dept. They will get them for you
I don't think so! This is a hospital and an ER for mild to critically ill patients, so you wouldn't just bring young children here to learn about germs. Try searching up "Germ Prevention for Kids" on YouTube, I found a few helpful results. Hope this helps!
Get a new cuff or go somewhere and check it for free like target or upper chesapeake
I have No idea about that i was in the ER
