Have been going here for the last two years and have been working on a long range treatment plan...so good so far. Today, I had my regularly scheduled cleaning, and i cannot say enough about Kristi/ hygienist. Her patience is outstanding, and i so value her professional assessment/ input.

Questions & Answers

What’s the total cost of a tooth crown

Hayat F | Aug 27, 2018
Sarasota Dentistry | Aug 27, 2019

This is a difficult question to answer correctly without a dental exam. Does the tooth need any repair work done in conjunction with the crown? Does the tooth need a root canal therapy? Is a crown really indicated or do you need a filling or a tooth extraction. It may sound strange but people get crowns on teeth that should be removed and it ends up costing a lot more if it's not diagnosed properly. Also, keep in mind that there are different materials such as gold and zirconia crowns that may differ in price. Same day CEREC crowns may also affect the cost. Same day CEREC may actually save you money in the long run if you don't have to take off of work for a second visit and get numb all over again. While prices may vary, so does the trust and support of the dentist providing the care. A great dentist will make the proper diagnosis and offer treatment options within your budget and in the long run, you will save money versus redoing dentistry that is not appropriate. ~$1500

for front tooth can you have it pulled the same day and have a implant with a tooth the same day

snanbob snanbob | Aug 27, 2018
Sarasota Dentistry | Aug 27, 2019

Great question! In many cases the answer is YES. However, a 3D examination is necessary to measure the quality and quantity of bone surrounding the tooth that needs to be removed. Additionally, a complete exam of your mouth is necessary to determine if your mouth is healthy enough for dental implants. Periodontal disease can drastically affect the outcome of dental implants as well as other systemic disease. Dr. Michael is quite unique since he places and restores dental implants himself and is very experienced with immediate placement of dental implants. A dental implant consultation will answer all of your questions.

Does Sarasota Dentistry take insurance

Alonzo Burton | Aug 27, 2018
Sarasota Dentistry | Aug 27, 2019

We do not take insurance for payment. However, many of our patients have insurance and claims are filed electronically for the patient to get reimbursed directly. We have not gotten any complaints since 2001. In the rare case a claim is denied, we fight for your benefits and in the end, the patient gets reimbursed. We are committed to quality care and personal service and have determined this allows us to maintain this standard since it's inception in 2001.

Have you done many implants. And could you give me a rough estimate of what the price would be. I know that's a hard question to answer but I don't want to waste your time and mine if it's way out of my price range thank you

Jim Grubb | Aug 27, 2018
Sarasota Dentistry | Aug 27, 2019

Hi Jim, I have been placing a restoring dental implants daily since around 2005. Keep in mind when you are researching prices on dental implants that the fees incurred are: 3D x-ray, dental implant, abutment and crown. That's assuming the bone is adequate quality and quantity so you could need additional bone grafting. Also, if the tooth that is being replaced is still in the jaw bone, you need to add the extraction, bone grafting and PRF (platelet-rich plasma). If bone is ideal between $4-5K.
