Would be 5 star if it ever opened on time. 5 days in a row this week gate guy is 1-3 hours late. Do not come here for early morning fishing times, as there is no access.

Quiet park with ample parking. Nice long pier for fishing. A nice little hidden gem!

The boardwalk would be ok. The trails a little tricky. No playground. Great views for pictures.

Also be aware that this is a nature preserve, meaning everything natural! Therefore, realize in warm seasons or even warm days in any season, you may run across poisonous snakes, including rattlesnakes and water moccasins. Dogs inspect everything with their nose making them vulnerable to a snake bite to the face which is deadly. The dog will know the snake is there before you will usually. So, be on guard with your canine baby.
