Don't tell your friends! Mid July, perfect weather and still not close to crowded. Had a fantastic dinner at one of the 5 window tables; good food, priceless view. Cabins are rustic - keep expectations realistic. Trails, outlooks and a heard of Bison off the access road. Couldn't have been better!!

We stayed here for two night. Very rustic cabins that were comfortable and fit pur needs. Lodge itself was quite nice but the restaurant seemed rather limited. It was difficult to get a reservation either of our nights there. Food was good, but the meat was all quite fatty. Love the views from the North rim and the temps were perfect for hiking.

We ate dinner at the lodge. We did not stay in a room. The dinner was very nice. It was opening week, so I could tell with time the service would be perhaps quicker, but everyone was hustling and super friendly. They did their best and it was noticed and appreciated by all guests. The food was pretty good. My husband really enjoyed the meatloaf and I the poblano chicken. We both had leftovers. All in all a fun date night!

I liked that all rooms were cabins. Drinks are delicious, View is unmatched, free shuttle service to north rim trail for early hikers was a BIG unexpected WIN. NOTE: You must put your name in the day before! There’s coffee in the room but if you want real coffee before 6… you may have to wait for bar tender to open.

North Rim is open May 15th to October 15 usually.
Most definitely, especially with a party that size. Be sure to make a reservation.
Only cabins and you can only book 6 months in advance.
I personally prefer the North Rim, mostly because there's less people there and the location is more remote. Also the landscape on both sides is a bit different. Both are definitely worth seeing.
I'm sure you can. Just Google it. I would do the same. Have fun
There is a 7/24 gas station inside the park near the General Store.

Yes
Forever Resorts is operating on the north rim. Xanterra for the south. Though I believe those concessions are about to expire soon.
The North Rim will be closed in February due to weather
I know that they closed for the season about a week ago
The selection is, naturally, limited and the prices are high
No
Nooooo!!! Only at the campground's general store, very limited, very slow
You could still see some of the haze but it was much better. We could see the fires on the other side at night and the smoke during the day.
Ate dinner in the Lodge. I imagine that the Veranda serves from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm, since those are the times for the Lodge Dinning Room. Lunch hours are 11:30am to 2:30pm. You also have the Rough Rider Saloon open from 5:30am to 10:30am, then 11:30am to 10:30pm. And, finally, there is the Deli in the Pines, which is open from 10:30am to 9:00pm.
Access to the park is extra.
Actually the Western cabins do have blow dryers I do not know about the other cabins. I was there last week. The cabins are rustic but in comparison to something like Phantom Ranch or Havasupai Lodge these are much nicer.
Not actually at the lodge. There are two machines behind the visitor center next to the water station.
They are considering extending the season due to climate change but nothing official yet.
Yes, it is. Prices are moderate and depends on what you want to order.
I saw dogs while I was there. They were on the trails.
GPS location is to the main park entrance. Then you drive up the hill to the Lodge
Several choices to eat they all open at different times We ate at 6am two mornings
I stayed overnight there in October 2020, so it should open on time. Make sure to check the park website before going. https://www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/north-rim.htm
