They will come into your community and steal your animals and act like they didn’t do anything wrong. Forget about trying to get them to give them back. Worse than PETA

Amazing facility with great employees. Adopted our sweet kitten from here and they were amazing about everything!

Highly recommend if your looking to foster or adopt a new pet. The staff are all great! I was a foster for a puppy, they took care of all of the puppy's needs!!

I did a transport from a shelter to here. The staff were very pleasant and the transition went smoothly.

Hi Esther! I am so sorry to hear about your loss! :( Yes, we would happily accept those donations! Thank you for thinking of us! Please drop them off Monday-Friday between 11 AM - 5 PM! :)
If you look at their website you are able to see what dogs they have for adoption. You should also be able to browse by size.
They love volunteers! Give Second Chance a call and ask them. They can be reached 919-851-8404. The office opens at 11:00 most days.
You would need to contact Second Chance directly. I am just an individual who periodically donates food.
We are so sorry to hear about your loss! We would gladly take any medication you would like to donate! We are open Mon-Fri 11am-5pm, please stop by any time!
You can probably head to their website and take a look through the dogs!
I have five cats 2 dogs one is Rottie and other is Alshian Sheppard. You can contact Second Chance Adoption to see if they can assist I do not work there I helped a lady today who adopted a cat from this place. I wish I could help more. I hope you can find a loving home for her please whatever you do don't just abandoned her on streets!
Go to www.secondchancenc.org. Under their contacts section there's a dog surrender form to fill out. If need to get in touch with someone directly, there's a list of contact information, location, and shelter hours. Hopefully talking to someone directly from the shelter will help you. Best of luck.
Second Chance will gladly accept any donations that you have. We also always need volunteers at the shelter, dog walkers, cat care shifts, foster homes for dogs, whatever you feel comfortable with. I am so sorry for the loss of your fur baby.
Hi Shane. Second Chance does not provide fostering services for owned dogs, only for homeless dogs who are awaiting adoption. Hope that helps!
Hi Annette! Yes, we will. Feel free to drop it off at the adoption center any time Monday-Friday between 11 AM and 5 PM. :)
Ana. I was there last week and I heard them say to someone, who had cats, that they were at capacity. That may have changed since then.
Yes, that would be fine. If no one is there you can leave the items outside the volunteer door. Thank you.
Check with the staff, they are very helpful. Selection will vary from time to time but they usually do have some puppies.
Hi Annie! You can submit a dog surrender application to see if they have room in their program to help. If they cannot, they will do their best to provide you with other resources! https://www.secondchancenc.org/contact-us/stray-dog-request-form/
When I fostered, there was not a fee. They are grateful for people opening their homes to these awesome rescues. They provide all items, meds, and food necessary to care for the fosters. You are required to provide updates on all animals, transfer them to and from the center for vet checkups and bring them to adoption events. This is an amazing group to work with. I highly recommend.
Hi! Yes, we do have puppies in our program. You can take a look on our website to see currently adoptable puppies (www.secondchancenc.org), or you can submit a dog application form stating that you are interested in puppies. Our dog coordinators will be able to match you with the perfect dog for you! https://www.secondchancenc.org/adopt-a-pet/dog-adoption-application/
Hi Jacqueline! We are currently accepting donations via contact-less drop-off. Feel free to leave your donations outside of our door Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thank you so much!
Hi Juan, Thank you for contacting us! Any dogs we have who are currently available for adoption will be located in our adoption gallery on our website. https://www.secondchancenc.org/adopt-a-pet/ At this moment, it does not look like we have any puppies. We recommend checking our website often and if you do find that there is a dog you are interested in, please fill out the adoption application. One thing to keep in mind is that most of the dogs we have are of mixed breed, so we cannot accurately predict exactly how big a puppy might get. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. :) Best Wishes, Second Chance Pet Adoptions
Yes - you can go to the Second Chance home page, click Volunteer and then New Volunteer Application to apply to be a volunteer.
Do you all still have any open slots for a pit bull? (1.5yrs old)
Please don't consider taking him to the Animal Shelter for they would put him down. I would hate to see that happen. I would first go onto the websites and see if someone would care for sweet, loving pup. Then call some Gets, they can be a huge help. I hope these suggestions can get you started in the right direction. I am Sorry you can't take your baby pup with you, I know this breaks your heart.
Honestly, I don't know but will be glad to find out for you.
I would call and ask who could foster your little ones until you get settled. There are fosters out there, actually my neighbor fosters Beagles through an organization. I honestly don't remember the name. I wish you well. Good luck.
I had the very same thing happen approx. A month ago. These 2 were so precious, it broke my heart to think someone could do such a thing. Call all agencies, friends, etc. Get the word out. There are good people out there.
Second Chance is always in need of volunteers! :) Please visit www.SecondChanceNC.org to submit a volunteer application.
I think it is just a programming error for the website
I recently lost my husband, he passed away June 23, 2022. I have to move out of my apartment and move in temporarily with my daughter. They cannot take my dog as they have a dog who does not get along with other dogs. Suzie is a 12 year old Bullmatian, a bulldog and dalmatian mix. she gets along with other dogs and is about 74 lbs. please let me know if you can take her.
If you are 16 or below, an adult had to come in with you.
Yes, Second Chance would be quite appreciative of a comforter.
I don't work there so i don't have an answer. Please give Second Chance a call at 919-851-8404. They are closed on Sundays, will be open from 11-5 on Monday. Sorry you aren't able to keep your dog.
Second chances doesn't take guinea pigs but they can help you find a good home for your dogs.
Bet they will...plus some pets have a medical hold...for treatment they receiving.
I don't volunteer but Second Chance has a web site with the pets up for adoption.
I don't volunteer at Second Chance but suggest you give them a call. There are organizations that will do trap & release. They spay/neuter, give shots & check up. They may be able to foster or have to return them to the "wild". It will prevent more unwanted kitties. If you see a snipped left ear, that is a sign they have already been fixed. Obviously this isn't your case. If Second Chance can't assist, please contact Wake County SPCA.
They might !!check out there website im not very familiar with hyper allergic dogs or u could tell me what breed u want and i can look
This is an old post, if your dog is still available, pls re-post or contact me.
