My mother was there for rehab two months ago. They did a good job with her rehab but whenever I called to schedule an appointment I either could not get through, was transferred numerous time and left on hold until the call was dropped. She is back now, recovering from pneumonia and I called to ask about visitation and what kind of COVID test I need to get. And I was transferred and the phone was left ringing and ringing. And the social director is a piece of work. Aggressively confronted me the last time my mom was there saying I came to visit without an appointment when I had scheduled one with the staff the day before.

I don’t usually do this sort of thing but I feel as if I have no choice. My grandson was in Sequoia Transitional care for over a year. In the beginning everything was good. The staff was very nice and caring towards Austin. He had no complaints. A few months back he started having issues with a CNA named Bianca. She was very rude and disrespectful towards Austin. He would ask her for ice and water and she would ignore him leaving him to holler after her to get her attention. She would only turn the lights off and close the door to the room. He reported her and things seemed to return to normal until she was his CNA again. Once again she would not go and get him anything he asked for. He had been texting me the day after the last episode and when I went to visit him later that day his phone had disappeared. Just vanished. He had told me other patients things were coming up missing like ATM cards and money. A week later he past and I went to get his stuff. He liked scratching lottery tickets and had over $300 in winning tickets that he kept in a locked metal pencil box. I had seen it earlier the day he past because it was on his table. He was also missing the $150 we had just given him a few days before. Most of the staff is friendly, and caring but apparently they have a thief working there. The patients are not allowed into other rooms so it had to be an employee. Every time I call I get the run around. There is nothing more I can do but hopefully keep this from happening to someone else. If you have family members in this facility please keep an eye on there belongings it doesn’t matter what it is.

Our services are usually covered by insurance, Medicare or Medi-Cal

Do you offer Physical therapy? Are people crammed in their rooms like Sierra Valley? Are showers given regularly to people that need assistance ? Sierra Valley offers 2 shower a week. Unexceptional..

We do offer PT. Come by for a tour and let us show you what we have to offer. We have the largest therapy gym outside of Visalia. Showers are scheduled but we just need to know what our patient wants and we will work it in.
