The smell of death in this place is insane. They had a sign saying they closed the doors at 3 because of the excessive heat. When i went inside they only had fans and it was hot af. Now my question is they are closing the store for public but what about the animals? Im pretty sure they are losing animals everyday and since its illegal to throw this much animals away in a dump they have these dead animals sitting somewhere in the back till they can dispose of them correctly. Its nasty its sad and pretty crazy how serpentarium is still in business. Health department and animal care services need to step in. Also if you are an employee there have a conversation with a lawyer, you have grounds to sue, you are working in inhumane conditions. Hope the best for the animals and employees.

It smelled so RANCID in there we had to turn around and leave, we could not enjoy it. I don’t know how the people who work there stand being there for a shift. Something needs to be done, I don’t think it’s normal or necessary for it to stink THAT bad. It was horrible!

Great customer service, I didn't catch her name but she helped me out with every question I had and wasn't rude or tried to make me feel dumb for asking a question. ( A lot of reptile shops will make you feel dumb for asking questions) She helped me out with my feed for my snakes and showed me what I can fees my giant day geckos and was knowledgeable about them since she said she has some too. Thank you!

They don't have the museum part of it anymore, it has since changed location to the Goodwill parking lot. They are a retail pet store now but still have lots of cool reptiles to look at. My kids love going in there to look at the different snakes and lizards.

The Serp is open Memorial Day. They have Ornate Pacmans in Lodi and an Albino Pacman in Stockton.
They can special order animals.
No fee anymore since museum part upstairs closed. Still have great animals to see and touch and very noligible staff to answer all your reptile questions. Baby sulcuta tortoises love them.
No they do not but high quality dog and cat food is available at most Serpentarium locations. This was started at the requests of customers.
