Always a great walk. Some parts can get a little steep but it’s all mostly paved and people bring strollers and dogs on leashes up all the time. Easier routes that are longer are available on one side while a steeper short route is offered too.

Always another go to hike. Easy parking at the park or the side of the road and great running trail. The views are beautiful always. Both early morning and night time never get old.

Mount Rubidoux Park has a great beginner level hike for all to enjoy. We parked at Ryan Bonaminio Park and climbed the hill to the start of the trail. The trail is paved, and great for kids. A stroller could also be used, though pushing it up the hill is some spots could be a workout. The weather was cool when we went, but I imagine it would be hot in the summertime, and there is very little shade. The hike didn’t take us very long, maybe an hour and a half to two hours tops, and that’s with little kids, and taking it very easy. There are good views of the surrounding landscape, as the trail wraps around all sides. This activity was a great choice to get the kids out of the house for a short time, and not too intense. There were quite a few people there, some choosing to run the hill as a workout, which would be a good one if you lived nearby. Again, good option that doesn’t require a big-time commitment or a lot of physical ability. Get in a workout, or just get some fresh air, either way it was fun for me and the family.

Super nice and easy paved trail with view of big rocks, architecture and the city view. Really a nice walk! Even though it’s cloudy on Saturday but it’s still so crowded. Definitely worth a visit!!

I recommend the natural juices that this young girl sells them for 8 dollars a bottle but they are worth it
Oh cool. Yay cant wait to go and take my dog. I always carry poop bags so much so that I always find it in my clothes and jackets lol.
The less steep way up to the mountain top is two miles. The steep way up there mountain is one mile. Depending which way you choose to go up or down it is two to four miles total up and down plus the mileage to where you park. The 9th Street gate is the less sleep way and the park side is the steep way. The two paths cross fairly quickly at base of mountain so even if you park on other side, you can choose to go up the other way. There is a map there where the two paths cross so you will not get lost. Enjoy!
Yes.
No a better walk would be around the mountain via the Santa Ann trail. THERE IS NO WATER,RESTROOMS,ELECTRICITY,ETC. Emergency personal would have to use most of their time gaining access to a path.
There's a nice park at the bottom of the hill off Tesquequite Rd that I'm sure they would love to run around, but the mountain itself are narrow trails that wind up and down the mountain. Some people are down to scale the side of the mountain with no trails and go straight up (which your dogs probably wouldn't run into anyone there) but do keep in mind there's a lot of people traffic on mt rubidoux and not everyone is comfortable with dogs especially off leashes
It has spectacular views of downtown Riverside on one side and Rubidoux on the other. It has some historic structures near the roads and you get a good workout climbing to the top.
Yes you can it open around that time
Yes you can do all type of activities there it's very nice just be careful
Just around 2 miles. It depends on which way you go. The trail leads back down to the starting point. You can do as many "laps" as you wish and continue to rack up the miles. Hope this helps.
Yes I also believe that there is no limitations for photographers it is such a a beautiful Park I believe that photography is encouraged
Well your Westin is very general. Best place to go for what? A hook her up doing Rubidoux is nice. A walk around mission inn and a tour is a must. A walk down Victoria avenue is a must. Heritage house on magnolia tour. Citrus heritage park. The botanical gardens at UC Riverside. The concert lounge at Ronsnos, woodfire grille pizza, anchos Southwest grille, Tios Tacos. These are my favorite places in Riverside.
