SUNY ESF maintains this beautiful trail. Parking lot is plowed regularly and off a paved road so it's no problem to get to. The trail itself is easy-to-moderate, flat at first but steeper toward the end. There are creek crossings, but also bridges. The views from the top are absolutely incredible since you are looking out on the high peaks. 360 degree views. There is a webcam of the conditions at the top run by the college, too. When I went, it was already snowshoe time. Beautiful place!

My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful day, perfect weather for hiking. The trail is moderately difficult, good mix of terrain. No views while on the trail, nor much at the peak. On top is a fire tower under renovation. You can only climb the stairs for now. But wow, the view is spectacular in every direction. Stunning beauty!

Great trail. Great view. The trail is steep and muddy in spots. The view from the tower is worth it. You can climb the tower. The top room is closed, so you can't climb all the way to the top.
