not for sure. uknome lvugirly
Did not know they moved it
It may have been, as there are bird displays, as well. But, I don't think so. The only stairwell we saw, wasn't conducive to housing a giraffe. It was more like switchback stairs than having a large empty space. For some reason, I thought the animals were the original owner's hunting trophies. The lady that runs everything, Kathy, (if I remember correctly, which would shock me greatly) is a sweetheart, and probably has forgotten more about that gorgeous place than most people ever knew. She'd know for sure. Anyways, totally worth a visit, imo, we loved it. 🇺🇸
Admittance is $5 donation. It's well worth it! The lady who admitted us, couldn't have been nicer. She walked with us through the Main floor, telling us all kinds of cool facts and some really great stories, about the original owners, and the role the Mansion played in the history of St. Joseph. There was even a ghost story, about the basement. After that, we were able to go on our own and explore the upper levels. Amazing structure, with incredible objets d'Art, even wild aminals. One important thing, make sure you call for a time to visit, as they aren't open everyday. Leave a message, they're really good about returning calls quickly.
