Update on 09/16/22 Not much has changed here at Eisenhower- I just got a bill for the “Facility Fee” for my monkeypox vaccine #1 and the “Facility Fee” is $75.00….what can you do but pay these surprise fees ….see same topic below from another visit: So I saw a doctor in December 2020 for my knee, got a cortisone injection and all seemed well. It’s now February 2021 and the billing has all processed and there’s a “Facility Fee” charge now due of $158.00. All my years of going to orthopedic specialists at Cedars-Sinai in LA, I never was charged a “facility fee charge” unless it was some outpatient surgery and I was advised of that prior to the surgery. Last week I drive to LA to see my orthopedic specialist for an office visit for my shoulder and I’m confident there won’t be a bogus “Facility Fee”. BEWARE- this is a shady practice to produce more revenue and I’m going to avoid Eisenhower in the future ....I’d rather drive to LA for treatment and spend the $158 on a hotel room at the Ramada WeHo.

I have a broken hand and I have to wait for I don’t know how many days to see an orthopedic just to get a cast on it so in the meantime I’m in a splint suffering in pain I don’t understand that! I’m editing this review as a follow up I was able to be seen by a different orthopedic doctor in palm springs that fit me his schedule as soon as possible unlike Desert orthopedic the Doctors couldn’t find the time to squeeze me in.

We were told to be there at 7:10 am for a 7:30 appt. Xrays were taken quickly then we were placed in a room for about an hour waiting to see the PA. We were not told we wouldn't see the doctor. Not a good 1st impression.

Eisenhower health is my choice for any of my medical needs. I have good communication with all the doctors I see plus many of the NP and PA’s that assist with the care I am expecting to have. I have no problems like some of the other people report. You have to be an advocate for your own health and be able to navigate the health system services you are looking for. Eisenhower Health gets 5 stars!

Could you be more specific? Doctor, nurse, appt?
Ask your doctor's office for assistance, and they should be able to provide someone with a wheelchair to meet you at the curbside valet.
Yes, just ask your worker comp carrier
There are a few small differences. It's best to confirm directly with your insurance provider. For more information about Eisenhower Health, visit EisenhowerHealth.org/insurance.
There are a few doctors that do. Dr. Bell is the doctor that repair my torn shoulder and elbow. Now it is better then before. Go see Dr. James Bell
I have Kaiser Permanente, and am being treated at Desert Orthopedic Center. You have to advocate for yourself with Kaiser. It is frustrating, but don't give up! The physicians and staff at Desert Orthopedic Center are exemplary.
Yes - MyChart is used there (part of the Epic EMR system)
