First time I was there and watching open mic night. It's was a nice night out. Great place right along the water. I'm sure it's nice there in the summer time. Definitely will have to go back then.

Usually you need to be a member. You can enter as a guest of a member as long as they are with you. Also, some post let the public in on special occasions. Check with the post for their rules.
The bar is for members only (vets) and from the last time I was there a few weeks ago. Edit my answer they do have a kitchen.. Hog heaven.. Limited menu.. Hamburger/grilled cheese and some others, but really good.
