Great place to go to the zoo, walk/boar around the lake, picnic, enjoy a band on a warm summer night....

Quiet retreat sight from the triple digit weather to possibly 90's in the shade. Look for Tuesday night concerts and be sure to include a trip to the adorably well kept Charles Paddock Zoo within the Lake Park.

Beautiful park. Sm. Lake with paddle boat rentals for a relaxing day.

Beautiful park with lots to do for the whole family! You can walk/ jog around the whole perimeter of the lake, spend time fishing the lake, rent a kayak or bike from the little rental shack, kids can play in the playground, feed the ducks, have a picnic/ BBQ in the shade, enjoy a game of baseball at the baseball field, and even visit the Atascadero zoo which is located in this park.

The lake is currently (2016-?) not to be used by humans or pets/dogs.
There's a part of the parking lot that buts up to 41/morro rd that usually doesn't get full unless there's an event. You could park horizontally there without much issue. I've seen buses do similarly during the school year too.
Yes, In the park, there is a gazebo arranged to accommodate a weddings.
Yes with a fishing license of course and I believe every year they plant new fish there, maybe trout and small mouth bass. I remember the karp and catfish were huge, when I was little (hopefully my memory isn't failing me right now). I believe they drained the lake or because of the drought it dried up, so it got dredged, they cleaned the bottom a few years ago. So, not too sure about the abundance of fish in the lake now. But your answer is YAAASSSSS!!!! SO have fun!!! Happy casting!
I don't think it will be open again at all.
Havent ever seen anyone smoking there.
Yes
No, unfortunately not. City Park in Paso is very well lit however
No, but if you are looking for a camp ground nearby... I would suggest Cero Alto as its about 10 minutes down hwy 41.
Atascadero Lake Paddleboats is under new ownership in 2019. Open days/hours are seasonal; details available on their Facebook page @AtascaderoPaddleboats.
Atascadero Lake Paddleboats rents 2-5 seat paddleboats and 1-2 seat kayaks but no longer has paddleboards available (2019). Pricing and open hours are available on their Facebook page @AtascaderoPaddleboats.
Daniel and Robert- There's no need to be rude. I'm assuming Cerra's question is about two children going to the park together without adult supervision, and not resulting in the police being called. I don't know if there's a proper answer to that, but I would guess maybe 12 or 13 years old.
