Maintained trails with some shade, lots of signs about plants, challenging incline, and lots of switchbacks. Great place to go for a hike or run. There is a designated parking lot at the start.

Great trail! ~3.75 round trip from the parking lot to the top. Very family friendly π

Great hike to the top. Beautiful view. On a hot day consider starting early in the morning because it does get hot here and there are some stretches toward the top that donβt have a lot of shade. Or just bring plenty of water for you and your canine companion.

Dogs are allowed. I love this trail! The loop is a mile and a half, with some good inclines and switchbacks. Itβs beautifully maintained and thereβs always an abundance of wildlife to watch. The plaques that give more info about the flora and fauna are great. Finding the trailhead can be difficult and you must go slow and respect the neighborhoods you drive through!

It shouldn't be a problem.
There is a large trail map at the tail head.
Up on the street is the sign. Is that what you mean?
Yes, it is correct. The path is washed out and Atascadero Creek is too high for crossing.
