I have loved this store since I was young. You never know what you're going to find! It's the best when you have some time to go and search around in a few categories for some new books.

I've been to many different half price books, all over, I love this store, but this one seems like maybe it is just a product of it's environment, Brookfield WI, which is a pretty rich area, so maybe the prices reflect that? I don't know, the selection is pretty standard, but if the price was to low at half, they marked it up quite a bit.. not sure how they decided that either, as not every low price qualified.. it was weird.

A wide variety of books and amazing prices! Finding specific books can be hit or miss, but if you're just doing some general browsing this is the place for you!! I have also sold books here on a few occasions - I get reasonable offers for what I sell to them, and it is significantly easier and quicker than selling books on eBay. HPB will help you declutter your shelves just as much as they will help fill them back up again!

I always enjoy browsing around this store. They have great deals on new and used books, and you can find interesting board games here as well.

Yes they do!
Yes, but as others have said, the offers have have been very low. For example, they offered less for a group of books and magazines less than what their sign said they would pay for the current magazines. We think its more product to donate books to the library.
Yes. Keep them in your car, walk in, and let them know what you have.
They review the value of each book, and make their offer according to what it's worth, and what they think they can sell it for and still make a profit. If you want to keep more of the actual listed value you'll probably want to sell them to a buyer directly. You might try eBay or Facebook Marketplace?
Not everything is a deal. Sounds like you're being smart shopper.
Every HPB store had an extensive collection of romance books. Happy reading! 😊
They probably do, huge selection and I think they have an online catalog on their website!
Honestly, fantastic, they require masks obv, they take distancing seriously, and on especially busy days they set up a queue to enter to limit people in the store
No
True. Also if you live in or near the Milwaukee area, you can do the same with the used bookstore Bargain Bookstore on Broadway and Wisconsin Ave. I just sold them 100 books, mostly nonfiction, and some CDs. I chose store credit but money for your books is available. Good luck.
I would suggest Mega media xchange on in Brookfield or even there new store in Franklin.. You would most likely get more than Half Price
Yes, but you won't get the best price. Also, you need to call and make an appointment...
Yes, but they require you to wear a mask, and provide one for free if you don't have one
You can call and ask him associate they can look it up and see where they at the whole series or individual books they're very nice about it
Yes crossword puzzle books can be found there.
I don't know the answer to that. You might have to call the store
the titles vary by location as most of their inventory is dependent on donations and people selling to them, so yes, calling would be best.
In all honesty, Half Price Books is a great resource if you're an avid reader, but I doubt you'll get any real value selling rare books here. I don't know a place locally, but you'd be best off Googling for a place that specializes in rare books.
You'll need to call the store and ask them directly so they can check their stock and let you know.
