We rented a cabin recently and wanted to share a few thoughts on our experience. The grounds were fine and it feels nice that you are in the middle of a redwood Grove. Cabins are packed close together. Our cabin had two water temperatures, hot & scolding hot. Taking a shower was a challenge as was washing your hands. The cabin was very small and the layout wasn't ideal. We had barely enough space for 2 people and one dog. Lots of kids running around screaming. Not their fault but be mindful this is no quiet retreat. We noticed in the RV section that one group of people stayed in front of their RVs drinking Coors Light the entire weekend, like they were recreating a king of the hill scene. If you don't mind loud rednecks slamming cheap beer then this place is for you. We enjoyed the town of Trinidad but I do not believe we would return to stay again.

Stayed here in April, 2021. Campground feels like your in the middle of a forest, probably one of the best woodsy campgrounds we’ve stayed at, and the prices weren’t outrageous either. Close to Trinidad and Patrick’s Point (highly recommend), checkout the Lighthouse Grill and the Beachcomber Cafe in town. Trees of Mystery is about 45 min north on the 101 and is great for the kids and adults alike. You’ll really enjoy this spot, it’s awesome!!

Beautiful place. Unique setting in a redwood forest. The cabins are cozy, comfortable, clean, well stocked with everything you need for a great stay. Nice little touches with nice toiletries, well equipped kitchen and even wine glasses. Well situated, close to Redwood national and state parks and close to the ocean. Most enjoyable stay.

Awesome cabin nestled in a gorgeous redwood forest. It was so cozy for a visit to the redwoods in February. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes and supplies so we could cook. Trinidad is a cute tiny town and you're only minutes away from a grocery store and a couple restaurants. About 20+ min to the parks. Super convenient! Would highly recommend

Yes, but it is fairly limited like most campground WiFi. Ok for checking email or web surfing, but not for video streaming or video calling (Skype, Google Hangouts, etc). Like most campground etiquette, they ask you not to stream video because the limited wifi is shared by all.
Depends on the season, day of the week, ext. In addition to the typical high booking camping dates like 4th of July weekend, when Humboldt State University has move-in, Move-out, and graduation happen prices are much higher then usual
Definitely call, but it seemed like there'd be enough room for a tent, your gonna love it, cept the bathrooms could've been a little cleaner.
Like Gordon said the closest one is in Trinidad but it is a lot closer than 10 miles away from Emerald Forest.
I don't know about camper rental, but I will say, my cabin I had rented was absolutely the best decision I had made . it is now my vacation destination hands down. Stayed three days. 2 more than planned. Enjoy.
Yes, allowed. Off leash in dog park only.

Tents are $35/night in summer (and $29/night in the off-season) for two people. No extra charge to use our guest-only showers!
I paid about $40 for a campsite and $130 for a studio cabin. Both were well worth it. I would definitely go back.
