Amazing time in my favorite campground but I don't understand having the handicap bathroom/shower in the back of the building with no concrete sidewalk. Not as easy to access as you might think.

Great place to camp! Campsites have enough space and privacy. Loved having easy access to a beautiful beach.

We are local to this area and this is still one of our favorite places to camp. Make sure to make your reservation at least 6 months in advance though! Spots go quick. As you can read from all the other reviews, unrivaled beauty and nature surrounds. You can't go wrong with this beautiful campground.

Not a great place to camp if you have a dog. The campground sits high on a bluff, and no dogs are allowed on the trails down to the beach. We got the last available spot, and it was pretty clear why: The parking space for our RV had too much slope to it, so getting our RV level was pretty precarious. At night we learned we were right in our guessing that the tunnel through the shrubs by our RV was made by a bear, because we heard him/her grunting around our camp that night after we went to bed (that was actually one of the cool parts of the adventure). We were supposed to stay 3 nights, but left after the first night, and headed over to McKerricher SP for better accommodations.

There are showers at Abalone Campground as well. My experience has been that it's busier on weekends than weekdays. Early mornings and late afternoons seemed the least busiest. You could call the park and ask as well, they were extremely helpful.
It depends on how long your rig is. You can call them and they can help.
I had Verizon and T-Mobile. Both worked within Agate campground. You'll get spotty and no service as you go north.
Open now day-to-day basis it's $35 a day
yes, both campsites & cabins are open. check on recreation.gov for availability.
I recommend making reservations...this is a pretty busy campground so an open campsite isn't guaranteed.
No washer or dryer it has showers available for 25 cents
Yes you have to have air matress or padding and blankets
Yes you can
No dogs allowed at Agate or on the trails. Just the paved roads.
I believe they have handicap campsites. As far as availability, you would have to check with the appropriate agency, maybe the California state parks
