Lovely place! The room was big and we had access to a big balcony with an ocean view. In the morning we got a tray delivered to our room with super tasty scones, fruit, coffee and tea<3 And this was in addition to the breakfast! Wish we stayed for more than just one night, as this was probably the best hotel experience I’ve had (and it would give me time to use the sauna). Only downside I can think of is that the wifi signal didn’t reach our room. Since we didn’t have a phone signal either, we had no way to access the internet from our room. Our room was on the far end of the building, so this might not be a problem in the other rooms.

Such a beautiful hotel from the 1860’s and wonderful, attentive staff! Would highly recommend staying here on special occasions or if you’re around town! The “Hillside Room” was fabulous and had a great balcony with ocean views! The Abalone Pub (connected restaurant) serves wonderful food that’s well worth the price as well! This hotel also offers complimentary breakfast that’s delivered to your room in the morning and offers breakfast near their lobby as well!

Yes most hotels you should. Maids are usually paid poorly and tips are greatly appreciated
The Westport hotel is the newest in a string of businesses that have occupied the building. I cant vouch for the current management but the general store across the street has a decent deli, good wine selection and breakfast menu. In general, Westport is more about getting away from the tourists than being pampered. Its still an old logging town and is not ashamed.
