I haven't stayed at courtyard hotel in a while. It was a standard, big box hotel. The room was nicer than I remembered. The location to downtown was excellent and another bonus, free parking. The staff was friendly, the hotel was on the newer side and was very clean. An enjoyable experience and I would stay there again.

Good service, decent enough price. Sheets were pretty scratchy. Loved the blackout curtains, good temperature inside (was over 100 outside!) and good breakfast options in the morning.

Very mixed stay at this Marriott property. Room was nice and overall staff was helpful. However, two exchanges left me feeling quite under-valued during this stay. First issue: when calling the front desk to ask for room slippers and a hot water kettle, I was told the hotel doesn’t have these items. The front desk then said, “I guess you are used to a full service hotel.” For the price and brand, I had assumed this was a full service hotel. Note: the front desk did go out and get a kettle (thank you!), but the comment was quite strange and disconcerting. Second issue: I called down to housekeeping to request the room be turned. Front desk again responded, “Did you already request a room turn? We have over 100 rooms to do today, so I’ll see if we can get to yours.” Again, this is a minimum level of service expected at a hotel. Not sure why they thought saying this was okay. Note: when we left the room, the housekeeper in the hallway asked very politely if we wanted service. That was the kind of experience I was expecting! Otherwise, the cafe was quite nice and location was very convenient. I would stay again, but I hope the staff is a little better in communicating.

This team is amazing. We had such a good time here. ALL staff members were excellent!!! Val, Sarah, Sam, etc. Sarah was such a help at 1am, helping me load our sedan to head home. She took a luggage cart to our room. Made sure we had everything. We really appreciated all the wonderful customer service from this team! We stayed 3 nights with a 6 week old newborn for a family emergency. Best Marriott experience in California by far seriously made us feel at home. Thank you Titanium members Perez Family

You call up Starwood and ask them. But they are 2 different companies. Starwood is by Westin and Marriot Rewards by Marriott
I really enjoyed Pullman Kitchen on 5th street, within walking distance. Upscale but simple food.
I would agree with Randy. The mattresses in my double queen room were of average firmness.
