I would suggest calling ahead. Hours are not what they list on the door (they have plenty of signs regarding COVID, so were this the reason I imagine they would have updated their hours on the door). The lights were on but the door was locked. I waited about 15 minutes and then decided to give it a good knock before leaving and they turned the lights off on me. Given work I have a limited window in which I could go by the gallery (~5:15). I do not anticipate returning, but hope others have a better experience.

I love supporting local businesses and was excited to check out this store after my husband bought me a vase from there for Christmas. I was looking to possibly exchange the vase for a different color and spend more money on other pottery. Instead I was rudely greeted, after ringing their doorbell to be let in, and made to feel like I was interrupting their personal pottery making session. I asked about exchanges and they said all sales were final (they never told my husband this at the time of purchase and he also didn’t see any signs). My short interaction with them made me not even want to look around or buy anything. To be clear, I don’t feel off-put about their exchange policy, just their poor customer interaction skills. I guess I just don’t like to give my money to businesses that make me feel unwelcome and burdensome, when I’m being friendly and inquisitive about their store.

Aaron this is Laurie Yanni would you please send me an invite so that I can come in and work on my pottery? I miss it.

Sure no problem. Invite is via email. Send one to the RK email and I’ll respond there.

I have some Italian dishes. The shiney surface is gone from several. I assume that these pieces are not safe to eat from. Lead??? Do these need reglazing? Do you do re-glazing? If not, can you direct me to a place that does this? Thanks, KK

Hi Kathy, re-glazing pottery is usually not possible. There are many variables that might make the plates unusable but If you are concerned about lead there are testing kits available for less than $20. Good Luck, Aaron at Red Kiln

I'm looking for a place where I can get back into pottery. Would this be a place to do that?

You can see the class schedule at redkiln.org, including when registration opens. Classes fill up fast, often the day registration opens.

Call the studio tomorrow and ask for Randi, she'll tell you.

Is it possible to have one mug made? I need one for a wedding proposal.

Probably if you ask one of the artists. Go in and talk to them. They're very nice.
