A good spot to picnic, lay on the sand or swim in the lake. Suitable for the entire family.

This is my favorite place to take my kids when I don't feel like doing multiple activities or going to multiple locations in one day - you can get there and pick a nice spot that gives you a view of the beach, the splash pad and bath house and the kids can be free to frolick and play for hours while their battle worn caregiver(s) relax in the shade or join in on the fun. It is well worth the $7 all-day fee but we like going after 5pm on weekdays or 6pm weekends because it's free, less crowded - the beach is open until 7pm and the splash pad is running until 8pm so plenty of time to enjoy the cooler part of the day without commiting to spending too many hours there (sorry kids it's closing we have to leave! Lol). Nice paved trails, decent sized sandy beach plus several playgrounds and covered pavilions make it the perfect spot to get together with friends and family and great for any party or event. Dogs on a leash are welcome which is great for pet owners to let our furry companions join in on the fun and fresh air. Grills and picnic tables all over make having lunch or dinner El fresco a walk in the park!

It was beautiful. It has been improved immensely since the last time I was there . Play grounds, splash park, volleyball, baseball, basketball and tennis areas . Many bbq areas, paved walkways along the shoreline, lots of shade . A decent looking bathhouse, snack shop/camp store . Multiple bathrooms.

Campground Review: Your entire experience depends on the weather. If it rains with thunderstorms coming in from the west, batten down the hatches (as well as tents and shelters). This is serious stuff, so pay attention to the radar. For …

Last time i camped, the site was $20/ night and the beach was open. There is a small Waterpark they open if/when the beach is closed. So either way the kids get some water fun!
No, it was $7.00 for the day
That do not allow dogs in the actual Verona Beach with lifeguards, but go down more toward lakeshore road north where they have a roof top launch area for kayaks and your dog can run wild!
It s a beautiful park for a picnic near the lake.
It says "Limited Swimming". But it got pretty crowded the other day in the water and 2 cops ended up showing up. I couldn't see what they said or did at all but all of a sudden everyone was out of the water. But within minutes after the cops had left, everyone was back in the water.

Sylvan Beach or Delta Lake State Park
No swimming.
Pretty early but you can check into a campsite without anyone there
Open and full of people on July 4th! Safest bet is usually to call the day of.
New York state camping grounds are on line for pricing and reservations
I believe they have some on the south side of the picnic area as well.
Well maintained State Park.
You should always call in the morning to find out, it could change quickly.
Bicycles do not pay to get into the park. $7 is for vehicles only.
There are water sites available (10?). There is a dump station!
Plz check their website. Thanks.
My understanding is that all the sites cost roughly the same. Good luck getting a camper site though. They go quick!
No cabins. Just camp sites for tents and RV's
