I would give this place none if I could! A dear friend was sent here after suffering several injuries, back, hip, and ankle, he was not ambulatory, not when he got there, and not when they sent him home. He was 78, lived alone on the 2nd floor of a building with no elevator. I, as his health care surrogate, tried to reach his case manager several times, and after finding out they wanted to send him home. When I got no call backs I sent an email through Encompass website, clearly that made Miss Falk-Alaia, his case manager, very unhappy. She was extremely rude when she called me. I stressed my concern, "he lived alone, can't walk, how can he take care of himself, or even go to the bathroom?" Her reply, we ordered him a wheelchair and a commode. According to her, and she stated Dr.Tannenbaum agreed with her, he did not even qualify for a hospital bed. Nor would they keep him longer unless I wanted to pay $3,000 per day! Not once did she explain the fact that I could have appealed the decision. I asked about nursing help at home for him, the reply.... someone will be in contact 48 hours after he's discharged! Not once did anyone call me, his emergency contact, and health care surrogate to discuss his safe discharge, or what his home was like. Nor did they ever try to call me once they sent him home and could not reach him by phone. He was dropped off at home by transport late on a Monday afternoon, by the following Wednesday, before 6am I was calling 911, he was in crisis. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and admitted, less than 48 hours after he was discharged! That is considered an unsafe discharge!! Run from this place, unless you want the little freebies and note they sent him home with, see photo attached!

My Aunt was admitted here yesterday and I had never heard of Encompass Health. I came to visit her today and So far I am very impressed. She is clean and taken care of and her dinner was fabulous. She eat it all.. I will continue my review as time goes by.

Be careful with this place, there’s covid in all hallways” Infection control it doesn’t exist here!!!! The nurses are under staffed and look stressed. The small supervisor is the least helpful and always seem in a rush. Get away of this place !!!!

Horrible nurse staff, therapy staff are adorable and dedicated , but let me tell you the things I've seen there omg , thank god my mom has been discharged today I feel bad for all these elderly that have no family going constantly, we had to be there basically 24/7 to take care of my mom and feed her other wise It doesn't get done at all . Nurses are so cold and rough that made me sick to my stomach seeing the way they are with patient . The medical field needs more nurses with kindness and that love their job not the ones they have in 90% of hospitals including this one .
