Elam campground is small, but a nice place to escape to.

Been camping there since 1969. Only thing that ruins the camping, Motorhomes running generators all day, so they can watch HBO all day. When ten dollar gas gets here, maybe they will camp in their driveways. $50 license to catch two fish now is also making it less fun. New world.

Nice little campground w/ fee, right along Highway 32 N of Chico. Super convenient overnight stop near 2 highways - on the way to Lassen, Susanville, Chester, Lake Almanor. Creek with fishing, close to hiking. Big enough for a few RVs, but small enough to be quiet. Except for the constant traffic on the highway. Bathrooms need rebuilding to newer USFS standards.

Great little campground. Usually great fishing because the plant it with rainbows almost every week during the season. Fair amount of creekside hiking too. Love taking my kids here because they're likely to catch fish and enjoy the outdoors. Not any campsites though and has heavy usage. No hookups. Two vault toilet stations, one water station. No cell reception.
